That looks like the final stage form of this tweet

Man I hold that Twitter did not make anime fans hell people in genderal nuts. No from living deep in the internet hopping from forum to forum these kinds of takes and opinions from anime fans have always existed. Why it festers like this in the community to make its own special brand of ass clown I just don't know.
Exclusivity and people being stuck in their own ass smelling opinion since they were teenagers and closed off in their private forums. I've met one or two and a fans on IMDb forms at the time that try to make excuses for the racism, or try to defend bad stereotypes of black people with anime. Thankfully, they were called out on it, and ended up getting band anyway.
Shoot, I remember some anime/manga fans that were upset that a character was changed to look more like a person instead of a black stereotype and Shaman King. Chocolove (yes, that's the character's name). When later chapters of the manga were brought over in the character was introduced, they got rid of the stereotypical big lips and gave him a normal mouth and face. Most fans were fine with the change, but they were certain fans crying "censorship" or not going with the "author's original intention". Fuck the author's intention. Why you get more character development of Choco, he is still a bad stereotype visually. The author seems to agree, because in the newer adaption that's on netflix, the promotional art has Choco drawn as a normal person and not some exaggerated black stereotype.
I will give the anime industry credit, that more of these artists are actually drawing black or dark skin people as actual people, and not racial or negative stereotypes. It has happened before, but I noticed in the 2010s, that we're seeing more of anime do this, and I have zero problems with it. It can still happen; especially for works that don't leave Japan, but it's good to see that alot of manga artists drop this old design trend. That's why I enjoy anime like Cowboy Bebop, Afro Samurai, Mitchiko & Hatching, etc. so much. Which reminds me, I still got to watch Carol & Tuesday.
Also, seeing those Twitter posts about the racist anime fans reminds me of this old joke from Chip.
