My bad, I got it mixed up with another game. This is what I meant.

Oh that game. Yes I’m aware of its existence. There are also Lies of P and DokeV, both games with Korean Devs.

Honestly, it really warms my heart these studios are bringing their ideas to the fullest.

I'm all for bringing back classic Sega Arcade and Dreamcast titles, but I wouldn't look to Fortnite for inspiration in these keeping constant revenue. Ironic that that they're now announcing a reboot a jet set radio, when it's spiritual successor got announced last year. Sega must be trying to play catch up in that regard.

The talk of Fortnight was the author. The article doesn't really ever say Sega is designing the games like Fortnight.

Okay. I'm still concerned for Sega still double downing on the metaverse & nfts. That don't sit right with me, and I have a feeling that they're going to screw up in some way or fashion. Thus affecting the quality of both of these games and franchises.

I had to pause for a moment to read the title again.

Then I thought about it, and the more i did the more I realized how fitting the two are
I like to Snoop dogg, but I don't like you that much. Fuck no. You're in trouble for trying to sell off nfts as well.

Hah, I was right. Sonic CD DOES take place between STH 1 & 2!

Oh, and the animation's nice I guess. Though I'm left to ask how many more times Sega can port their old games, and why we still have barely seen anything of Sonic Frontiers.

I'm curious as to how you concluded that, and with the significance is for Sonic lore.
You can see the order of animation how it goes STH1>CD>2>3&K. I'd say it's pretty definitive.

As for the significance, for your average Joe, it's not going to matter at all, and the confusion comes from, among other things, Sonic CD and Sonic 2 being made by different teams, and this being an era where story wasn't much of a consideration, especially for platformers. But for those who care, it's long been debated where Sonic CD fits in the timeline.

That's always been known and guessed at this point. Most fans came to that conclusion around early 2000s. The implication were in the story manual and background details. Mainly the Japanese version.

I have fond memories of Sonic CD as someone who never had a Genesis aside from trading my SNES on weekends with a friend. The 7up bottle level sticks out to me. It would be really cool if they remake it and add a shaking element to where the carbonation builds and shoots you out of it.

It just seems weird to be wondering where they fit in the timeline for such low plot games in a series that is very serial with it's plots.

It's not that weird when there's plenty of kids and teens making their own theories at a time when there was that much door to go off of. And all we had to rely on were cartoon adaptions and comic book spinoffs. I've seen plenty of Mario fans that did the same thing.

Also, Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 especially (S&K too) had really tight continuity. Yes, S&K what's the second half of the third game. I like the news of this collection, because now I don't have to break out the Sonic Mega Collection to play the game, nor break out my Sega genesis. I'm assuming we're going to get both versions of Sonic CD, like with the prior HD and Steam releases from 7th generation.
