Bright sucked anyway, so the sequel probably would not improve much.

But what about the BRIGHT cinematic universe, Brawlman? What about the Elves? The Centaur Cop? HOW WILL WE EVER KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM NOW?

Actually, I don't give a shit. Pretty sure nobody does. Will Smith was likely doing it for a paycheck and I don't think he'll miss it much.

I wonder if it’s purely coincidence that this movie shares the title of this actor’s last name on the show True Blood.

Also as an aside, after merely watching this trailer it kinda makes the God of War reboot feel like it was made for Disney/Marvel audiences. IOW, it feels too clean and idk, ironically adolescent. I really hope Ragnarok at least adds some more depth to its tone and presentation.

Ok sorry, but who? I'm assuming since this is Sony it's another movie about a Spidey villain, but I ain't never heard of this dude.
I'm in the dark as much as you are. I am no comic book character expert either. My response is basically "who the hell are you?", about this character.

Ikr. Feels like Sony is kind of scraping the bottom of the barrel for Spidey characters. I get why Venom gets a movie. He's top tier. But Kraven is second string at best. Morbius. Who cares about Morbius? And Madame Web? I wouldn't even know who that is if it weren't for the 90's cartoon. I know most of the major allies and villains have had appearances in a movie or tv show, but how about Black Cat? Chameleon? Scorpion? Maybe even Tombstone?

Any of those are much better options. Hydro Man sounds like a better option by comparison to whatever they're bringing out here. And he was mainly a substitute for Sandman in the 90s cartoon, because for some reason they couldn't get the rights to use them

Honest question. Is there ANY super hero that has a rogue gallery anywhere as good as Batman's?
Spider-Man and Superman. The X-Men at times, depending on the version. I'm more so referring to the 1992 animated series. Sometimes Daredevil, if you squint hard enough. Though don't take my word for it on that one.

Hhm. I feel like Spider-Man has a lot of visually iconic villains but that half of them lack iconic characterization.

Once again, it kind of depends on the version or adaptions are talking about. I know the 90s animated series, Spider-Man has actual good characterizations for most of its villains. Kingpin, Doc Oct, Norman Osborn, Venom/Eddie Brock, Smite, and surprisingly Scorpion when they bothered at the time.

There was also the Spider-Man from the early 2000s cartoon that aired on WB kids, but I don't remember that one as much. I admit that I didn't watch that one too often. The art style just didn't work for me. This is coming from someone that actually liked The Batman cartoon''s art style from 2004.

I'm normally not a fan of Bill Maher but he's completely on point here. These celebrities are getting to a whole new level of pathetic.

Next up, China will start demanding we shut down our public freedom of speech, and we'll gradually capitulate.

For once the douchenozzle has a point. Also, why the fuck is Cena apologizing to China for? They don't sign his fucking pay checks! When I last checked, other than recent F&F movie, none of films exactly appeal to Chinese audiences.

He called Taiwan a country. Yup, he stated a fact, that simply didn't sit well with China.

Maher did mention they account for roughly a third of the box office. By what metric I'm not sure, because it's news to me.

China can fuck off as always. I don't know why everyone is trying to suck their genitals constantly, but praising ain't gonna make them love you. They gonna take good carw of you? Feed you? Praise you every step of the way to satisfy their super, insecure, ego? The entertainment industry needs to get off their ass on this. So much for liberty and freedom of speech. The old Cena I thought I knew would not stand for this. I appreciate everything you done, and years of entertainment, but you know better than that Cena! Also, why does China even care that Taiwan is a country? They don't own them. Unless, China wants to start an international conflict, they can back the hell off.

Yeah, F&F is popular in China, but not that much. And when I last heard, Cena's character ain't coming back for 10. I have not seen 9, so I don't know. He's got Peacemaker; the man is practically set for life right there.

Yet God of War 4, still has more depth than most of Disney recent output, and half of Marvel's output. Also, God of War 4 was supposed to be lighter and softer in certain regards. If you want Ragnarok to pull off a tone similar to The Northman, you might as well go back to the previous entries. I know Ragnarok is going to be more serious and slightly darker, but it does not need to be that dark.

From what I am hearing on The Northman, it gets dark and screwed up big time. Showing you the harsh realities of the Viking to let you know that none of these men were good, nor noble people.

China gets sensitive about Taiwan, since it’s technically “The Republic of China” as they own their sovereignty. I’m sure the Taiwanese just love hearing that.

Eh, Hollywood is all about money, and China has a lot of it. Nothing shocking there, and we shouldn't be massively surprised when Hollywood doesn't take a stand based on principles.
