He's done non-Square stuff in the mobile gaming sector. And has his own studio that it is not part of Square. They have been the publisher for all the Drakengard/Nier/Voice of the Cards (now) stuff, but don't seem to actually own him or his dev studio(s).I'm not so sure. I think Taro does not actually work for Squenix, in the sense that he's not directly employed by them like Nomura or Yoshi P are. At least, I've been unable to find any indication he is, unlike the other two. Might be that Taro is technically independent, but so closely tied to Squenix through exclusive collaboration, that he might as well be considered one of theirs. Kind of like HAL Laboratory and Nintendo.
Drakengard 2 was published by ubisoft iircHe's done non-Square stuff in the mobile gaming sector. And has his own studio that it is not part of Square. They have been the publisher for all the Drakengard/Nier/Voice of the Cards (now) stuff, but don't seem to actually own him or his dev studio(s).
Kind of similar take how BandaiNamco published every Souls game, but they don't actually own FROM.
For worldwide release. Square Enix still published in Japan. Even then, Square's name is still on the box for the worldwide release.Drakengard 2 was published by ubisoft iirc
Lol, Sega ain't hiring that dude. I'm pretty sure Sonic Mania outsold Forces, so I bet Sega is butthurt over getting shown up by a fangame, and don't want to risk a repeat.
Considering Sega forced the Sonic Mania team to leave, over a "dispute", and cancel the sequel, I doubt they're going to hire this guy. Something Pat and Wooly seem to miss: is that Sega is cool with fan games at times, but will happily shut them down if they are interfering with the brand. They shut down the distribution of the Streets of Rage remake back in 2016. When before back in 2008 and 2009, they had no problem with it. Didn't even get announced till about 2018. And it definitely was not in production or pre-production yet.Lol, Sega ain't hiring that dude. I'm curious as to how accurate the "Japanese accept what they're given while Americans are always demanding more" stereotype stacks up on the Japan side.Try not to worry too much Max, but I understand your viewpoints.
Which is funny, because there are plenty of examples of the Japanese demanding more or demanding more of the same thing. Look at the otaku culture."Japanese accept what they're given while Americans are always demanding more" stereotype stacks up on the Japan side.
