Looks great, but deadspace, being an horror, was mostly in the dark, so the graphical update don't really do much. It look more like an updated remaster than anything. Gameplay was fine so I'm not sure I'd even want them to update those. So I'm kinda left wondering why this even exist? I guess Issac talk... but that doesn't really matter anyway. At most, all I'd want would be new area/longer game, but I doubt they'd pony the cash for that.
Laziness and not knowing what to do after the third game. With that crappy ending of a DLC making for a depressing end that will never be followed up on. I just tell most people to play the first two games, and don't bother with the third unless you want a good co-op action game. The third game's problems are still mostly EA's fault, but Visceral does share some of the blame unfortunately. The only other reason I see for the Remake is that they're going to redo the continuity, and of course give Isaac the ability to talk.
What's even crazier is that the game is backwards compatible on the newer Xbox consoles. The PC version still works and looks great, so the Remake wasn't even necessary. Ironic, because the original creator of Dead Space approves. He's got Callisto Protocol, so he'll be fine. I'm more so looking forward to that project, because it'll be on previous day and consoles, and it looks more interesting. Not to mention, the whole frozen prison planet was going to be Dead Space's original idea during the concept phase. Plus, it's nice to just kill monsters with all these environmental hazards and options. I also like the idea stealth, because it reminds me of The Evil Within games.
