I fundamentally disagree with this. Parents are absolutely responsible for guiding their children's sexual development. Because family has that responsibility, they have the access to abuse that position. You are arguing to expand the number of people with that access. You're not going to solve a problem by advocating for more of the cause.
The "cause" of child sexual abuse is not people having access to children, it is people being able to get away with abusing children.

Again, this is why teachers have a very important role to play because they are often the only adults a child can trust enough to disclose to if they are being abused. Teachers are also professionals, which means they can be legally required to undergo training in safeguarding procedure and to follow those procedures in regards to a child who discloses abuse on penalty of disciplinary action.

Isolating children within their families and cutting them off from any kind of honest and candid information about sexuality demonstrably does not work in protecting them from abuse, it merely empowers the people most likely to abuse them. The more adults (particularly trained and aware adults) a child can interact with and trust, the harder it is to get away with abusing them. The more comfortable and less ashamed children are in talking about sex, the more likely they are to come to those adults when they have a problem.

You can disagree with that, but you're simply wrong. It's not really debatable any more.

Do you honestly not see the the difference between sex ed as a health subject and instructions for how to stimulate another person's penis?
What is the point of teaching "sex-ed as a health subject" if you're not going to be honest about the primary reason why people have sex in the first place?

How is a teenager meant to understand consent, for example, if you haven't taught them that pleasure is important and that it is normal and healthy to express preferences regarding what is enjoyable.

Children, like all of us, live in a world where sexual competence is increasingly expected of all partners in sexual relationships, and that is a good thing.

Nobody needs to learn to give handjobs.
Spoken like somebody who does.

Maybe if one only sees sex as purely procreational, but if sex is something one does for pleasure, which it is for the vast majority of people that have sex, then no, there is no difference between sex ed as a health subject and instructions on jacking someone else off.

Also, stimulating a penis is pretty necessary should the act of sex even occur. There's no intercourse without someone's corpus spongiosum getting all filled with blood, and that requires stimulation of somekind. And yeah, kids that are entering puberty should probably be made aware of this so they're not just left with their dick in their hands.

Nobody needs to learn to give handjobs.
This right here is the very reason why people do need to learn to give handjobs. Heck, plenty of people don't even know how to wank themselves off.

I did child protection training when I taught swim lessons, when I worked for a school, and every year as a volunteer for the boy scouts. Honestly, boy scouts does a better job of this than anyone. Kids are taught they aren't supposed to be isolated with a leader, to recognize if they are being touched or talked to about sexual concepts, and to resist and report them.

I've worked with kids. I have personally taught young boys about recognizing sexual assault. If one of my boy scouts said their teacher was giving them hand job instructions, I'd be making a call to the PA Child Abuse hotline.

I agree 100% with the sentence I quoted, but that training and interaction is not teaching children sexuality. Their sexuality has nothing at all to do with child molestation.

Ohhhh nooooo.

Directly related

I honestly don't understand this. You literally have a brother, someone who's related to you to fight through life and help you. I never had that, but he killed his own brother in a mass- murder-suicide.
A lot of these killers tend to start with their own closest family, it's common enough to where some consider the family at the highest risk from these psychos.

Boy scouts, notorious molestation hub, does a better job with teaching child protection than anyone else? Well that's certainly a hot take.

Literally racist, but I would actually respect the author if he stated don't let Russians into smaller EU countries, so they don't vote in large numbers. Instead, he states no western country should take in Russian refugees, not the UK, US, Germany, France, Italy, or Spain.

One if they flee that takes fighting and working-age men in Russia away from the Russian economy, and war machine.

The second argument in a Reddit thread I heard was not basically not all young Russians are revolting against Putin, and Russians are all basically evil, but Iranians are revolting against the mullahs. Again not all Iranian young women and men are revolting against the Ayatollah either, and only 1/3 of Americans supported the American revolution because that's how revolutions start.

The third argument is that Russians are only fleeing because they themselves don't want to be involved. As someone who doesn't like Xi's China, and Modi's India, I bet if the US itself initiated a land war with one of these numerically superior countries, many Americans would run for Canada but silently or not support anti-war protests against a war of aggression.

Edit: Land war vs war.

The Boy Scouts has been working longer and harder than anyone else to prevent child abuse within their organization, and openly acknowledging problems that occurred has invited both derision and litigation. But it's still the right thing to do.

Everything organization that works with children that you don't think of as a "notorious molestation hub" has had the same historical issue of predators among their midst and just hasn't acknowledged it. Don't punish organizations for honesty.
And why not?
You should be answering "why", not asking "why not". Why do you think everyone needs to be taught how to give handjobs?
