Still looking great, and glad to have a more action-packed Sonic cartoon again. Sonic Prime is going full Spider-Verse here! Release date is December 15th.

Is it just me, or is this a repeat of Sonic X?

Sonic and his friends (no Cream this time) battle with Eggman over the fate of a stone McGuffin that sends them into an alternate reality (sorry, changes reality), and now Sonic needs to find his friends and get back home (sorry, fix reality).

And while not a canon puritan, I have no idea why Rouge is apparently part of the same overall group from the start.

That's something I don't understand, why, in 2021,
1. It is cheaper then CGi to get somebody on set with the real thing.

2. Your suppose to have what is a Gun-handler. Most of them are lame excuses for women who add that to a list of things they could do on set, but in other instances others are ex-military and former police. The gun-handler job is to acquire, transport, check the functionality, and guard the weapons along with doing a check in advance before leaving their hands. Meaning they must
fire a round, even if the box is marked blanks, and repetitively check the source of every bullet or cartridge loaded. Last time this happen the person was fatty girl who looks like a SJW crossed with a Ozzie Osborne daughter before she dropped the pounds and was like "I guess I am out of a job" when interviewed. Brenden Lee was an assassination as his father was also sought after.

Anybody can become a gun-handler as with anybody can attain the right to carry a concealed weapon. In fact locally this "Projects" ( lower income area ) some guy went through with the whole process. In high-school this girl I knew went through with it because they pay security guards a higher rate. Ex-military officers usually have level 1 clearance ( various levels ) that allows them to go on various bases, however it partially helps them with that process via level of trust. Point being it is not that hard to have these things at all and everyone by default should be able to get these things via examinations, and simple questionnaires.

You like movie people but care more about the safety of people then being a gun-handler might be a great side-job for you. Again not hard to do at all. Reality the gun-handler was not doing their job. Imagine being part security and part transporter. Your priority one is the safety of that piece of carbine technology and functionality of along with the safety of the people on set or anybody near you and or the weapons.

My opinion of what happens is the gun-handler was not taking their job seriously and somebody swapped out the blanks for the real. Imagine having the reload and unload, clean, over and over again, then lock-up and setup over and over again while paying close attention to the pieces being used.

I noticed, but this looks way more interesting than Sonic gets isekaied into the "real world/our world/human world" to do shitty adaptions of SA1, SA2, and Sonic Battle. The live-action Sonic Movies are Sonic X, but better.

An odd choice, but I don't mind. I'm just glad to see everyone kicking butt again, instead of being put on the sidelines/forgotten about like games from the 2010s. Especially Tails. Adaptions from the movies and this cartoon are getting it more right than the games.

Not a fan. Liam is ok, but I would rather him play a new Witcher. Now hes gotta do Cavill justice and I dont see it happening. That said gotta take my opinion with a grain of salt, I thought season two was awful and I don't think I finished it. Some parts were good, but it meandered all over the place with side characters and stories that didn't seem to be going anywhere fast.

I wouldn't know, because I have never done anything Witcher related. I never played the games, read the original books, nor have seen the TV series.

Season two is why I'm okay with this news. It was bad enough that I have zero hope or anticipation for season three. Cavill was a great casting choice but remained in the shadow of video game Geralt.

Like seriously, what the fuck is with adaptations that not only don't fix the issues with the originals, but decide to make other things worse?

I imagine that The Witcher will go the way of 95% of all Netflix projects. Have one standout season, absolutely implode, then quietly be brought out back and shot in the head.

Geralt is a monster hunter, and there is less of that in the show than in the games, even if we stick to just scripted story stuff of the latter.

Ill update when its cancelled, to the shock of everyone probably.
Can someone explain the appeal of shows like this? Do we really need spinoffs for every character in a comic book/superhero/sci-fi show? Does knowing what the villain was like before they were a villain change anything?

I really don't see the appeal, but apparently people liked the Alfred origin story show enough for it to get multiple seasons. People are weird.

I was unaware that there was an Alfred origin show.

I’ll admit that I gave Gotham a shot because it seemed interesting to see how crazy, dirty and fucked up the city itself was before Batman arrived on the scene, but it very quickly devolved into winks, nudges and nods to the audience.
I quit watching it maybe four episodes in.

Just about anytime a character was on screen they all but announced “Here’s [The Penguin/Joker/Catwoman/The Riddler/Whoever the hell villain] before they became [The Penguin/Joker/Catwoman/The Riddler/Whoever the hell villain] isn’t that neat? Aren’t we so clever?”

FFS Netflix.

Potent comment -

I think the person that will suffer the most from this is Hemsworth, really really dumb of him to take the role, now when it inevitably fails it will all be laid at his feet and not the God awful writers.

Maybe. The other possibility is that, since Cavill has officially confirmed he's returning as Superman, this creates scheduling conflicts and choices had to be made. Certainly wouldn't be the first time something like that happened, and from a career pov picking Superman is probably the surer bet, considering Netflix' diminishing prospects and mercurial habit of dropping shows out of nowhere.

Or maybe a little of column A and B.
