As long as you're aware it's spectacle over actual flight sim experience you should be fine. Older games are harder to play but AC7 is on pretty much everything but Switch and AC6 is playable on XBOX(thanks to MS Backwards Compatibility with the 360).

Or to put this another way. Every plane can carry 50 missles (minimum), G forces don't matter and flying through a tunnel or canyon in a jet is a common set piece in every single one of these games. "War is bad, Planes are Rad" is the series unofficial motto.

You can emulate the PS2 games with a decent PC, though you'll have to play with the setting to make it display correctly probably

You do know that's a very generic quote right? It can apply to a LOT of games.
