Nintendo direct, sigh, literally the only thing I wanted was to see if they fixed the voice over for baiten kaitos, but nooooooo narrator can't shut up and literally let the game speak for itself.

I almost hope they don't fix it in the remaster. That voice acting was so bad it was actually entertaining. What I want to see, a little more control over card entropy. I'd just finish a minor random encounter and head into a big battle... only to find that sometime after the last fight all my healing item cards had rotted. Or needing cards to ferment or do some other kind of change and having to wait forever for it.

Oh, and they need to do away with Origins' entire card system and replace it with the system from the first game.

Still not big on High On Life's humor. There is a difference, but that doesn't mean much to me when it's done so poorly on both ends. The Devil May Cry series, other than the second game & reboot, does quips the best. Mainly because they're not doing it 24/7 on every single scene. These games know when to have breathing room and do it right.

Somewhat cautiously optimistic. Though I need to find a ps5 in the wild first lol
Yeah the building stuff looks cool.
I tried one of the Monster Hunters... World, I think? Couldn't get into it, so weirdly paced and boring. Sure I probably didn't give it enough time maybe but, eh..
But I like the idea of it, fighting colorful monsters is exactly what I want out of video games, so I'd be down for something like this for sure.

"A love letter to the 6th generation... " lol *yawn* We are in peak lame nostalgia.
But the game kinda looks stupid fun, I would even play it if it came on a subscription service, except for that checkpoint system they describe sounds completely offputting.
My favorite part about the youtube videos is that the youtube ads are for the game that the video is about. I haven't seen that since PubG mobile

There's nothing wrong with it when it's done right. Hi-Fi Rush and DMC 5 prove that. I'll give you more credit to HF for adding a lot more color, platforming challenges, gameplay and level variety. HF is definitely the best of 6th generation throwbacks.

WD is obviously a niche title, so it's only going to change my specific crowd of gamers. I'll take a decent throwback sixth generation game over a "LIAV SERVICAS" or bull crap season passes any day of the week.

That was one of my worries with the game are the odd checkpoints. There's old school, and then there's outdated design. Even newer games not throwbacks still have this problem where they have the odd or stupid checkpoint. Or the case of why would you even make this a checkpoint so late and take so long to get towards?
