Once again, IGN is full of crap and they don't know how to play a review a game with challenge. And now it's okay to like Killer Is Dead and Lollipop 🍭 Chainsaw? Because they look good by comparison. KID & LC got a 5 out of 10 from them. "Has none of the charm of Suda51'sand Grasshopper Studio's games. There they go changing the mirror too and never being consistent. They haven't been kind to any of grasshoppers recent outputs. People don't forget that easily. Especially Suda51 fans. Fuck off, you posers.

The same idiots also gave Gungrave Gore a 6 out of 10.

Yeah the building stuff looks cool.
I tried one of the Monster Hunters... World, I think? Couldn't get into it, so weirdly paced and boring. Sure I probably didn't give it enough time maybe but, eh..
But I like the idea of it, fighting colorful monsters is exactly what I want out of video games, so I'd be down for something like this for sure.

One thing I will say about Monster Hunters, the start is really slow, theres a huge amount of tutorials for stuff that won't even be relevant until High Rank (and for that matter, working through half the cast in Low Rank is basically just being stuck in the kiddie pool)

Rise somewhat mediates this since you can just blast thrugh low rank entirely in the Gathering Hub short of a few requisite "urgent quests", and there's less cutscenery involved with the Handler and such. (Also enemies are marked on the map, even as question mark undiscovered monsters, which saves on that initial gathering tracks to train scoutflies that World had)

Once again, people not getting credit for their work. This involves the Metroid Prime Remastered. Witcher 3 Next Gen Version has stolen mods without crediting the modder.

Oof, that was kinda cringey to sit through. The 'gah, it's not even a real videogame, THIS is a real videogame' attitude is something I thought we'd left behind back in the early 2010's.
Keep in mind, the role of these cold takes is a literal strawman that represents some of the worst or shallowest parts of gaming, the gamind industry, and gamer/gaming critic attitudes.

It looked cool but yeah, mileage may vary.
GG likes the gameplay, but the dialogue has that same problem with Forspoken. Where characters talk too much and constantly "banter". There is even an option to turn off a lot of the dialogue. Why do games keep doing this now is beyond me. Now it's crept up in to some AA and some lower budget games.
