Eh, jury's out on the 3500 dollar thing (which is being marketed as an AR computing, or "spatial computing" in fruitspeak more then a gaming. Although they had to mention gaming heavily because thats all the VR/AR anyone knows lol)Not to mention that considering Sony is the only Pony trying to develop the VR market and Apple just unveiled some $3500 VR monstrosity upon the world, a VR partnership might be something worth having for both of them.
I mean the thing there would be you could just play the PS without any kind of screen while wearing the goggles (as per the demo where it just has a virtual TV or monitors floating in the room)
But yeah, "Ecosystem" wise, you'd want to pair up with Apple or Google. Who are... Microsoft's two main direct competitors lol. And much like the console stuff, Micosoft has barely shown up to the fight in terms of tablets/phones/smart home gizmos.
