Super mario RPG is a good game, but it doesn't really need a remake so w/e.

Star ocean 2, I dunno. It's undoubtedly the best of the star ocean, but the recent game have been so bad its hard to get excited. At the same time, they're mostly bad because they seem to refuse to hire any writers and instead either just make plot entirely out of the lamest anime cliche or just not really have one, so them remaking the 2nd one mean they should be okay if they just copy paste the story. Hopefully they keep the skill system, here again its obviously the best one in the franchise but every subsequent game stubbornly refuse to build up on it or even just re-use it. I quite like the 2.5D aesthetic. Kinda weird its announced in a nintendo direct considering it was originally on playstation and the remake will presumably be multi platform. A remake of the 1st one, only available on the SNES in japan, would make more sense in a lot of way.

They already remade it on PSP way back in 2007. Was released in all regions. It has a remaster on Switch and PS4.
I'm amazed that they're even attempting to bring Arkham Knight to the Switch.
Yes, it is ... ambitious. I'm guessing they're banking on the scalability of UE4, and to give it the benefit of the doubt, most of Knight's reputation for bad performance came from the terrible pc port.

Glad to see the Mania team still getting work! Eat it, Sega!

Yeah, it's probably the game I'm most interested in out of everything shown, just out of curiosity of what they can do without the limitations of 16bit era Sonic gameplay. Tho there is obviously a lot of Sonic dna in there. Would be amusing if they ended showing up Sonic Team at making a 3d Sonic too, but imo that has happened already, tho not by the Mania team. Cough, Sonic Robo Blast 2, cough.

There's also Spark the Jester III.

I'm noticing a lot of Treasure DNA there as well. Think Dynamite Headdy and Mischief Makers.

To be fair, Arkham Knight didn't look like it should have run (as well as it did) on the PS4 either.

I meant it would make more sense for a remake of SNES to be announced at a nintendo direct rather than remake of a PS1 game. Unless its exclusive to the switch but I'm guessing not.

It's like they're determined to force me to switch to Linux.
You have ChimeraOS which is quite suitable for gaming:
https://linuxgamingcentral.com/posts/chimeraos-review/

If you are a less demanding gamer, you can argue that any OS is suitable for gaming. You can install a browser on any system, and there are currently thousands of WebGL games that perform well on any browser.

The Unix-like operating systems I currently find to be the most qualitative:

Easy and for AMD/Intel/Nvidia users: mageia, Nobara Project, Mint, ROSA Fresh, Neptune, openKylin, GhostBSD, siduction, ALT Sisyphus, EndeavourOS
Average and for AMD/Intel users: Devuan, Void Linux, OpenBSD, Clear Linux, FreeBSD, Artix Linux, DragonFly BSD, Alpine Linux
Average and for Nvidia users: Void Linux, FreeBSD, Artix Linux
