I'm just gonna watch this on repeat for the weekend. Bye guys.
Some stuff from Future Games Show 2023, another event that most of you probably missed. This showcase featured games that aren't AAA, but not indie titles either and sit in that grey area as they are made by those middle-tier devs

Anyway snark they look pretty good.
I mean, the end of the first one made it pretty clear no one was allowed to die ever, I think she's just fine. Plus there's like alternate reality and shit now.
Or god forbid if Aerith dies again. I mean it may sound obvious, but with the whole alternate reality stuff anything is possible now. What if the game keeps jerking us around thinking Aerith might survive, but does go down the same way as before?

Within the loose internal logic of the game, she didn't die the first time, she just got impaled and merged into the lifestream, same as Sephiroth (who was "killed" in near identical form by young Cloud). Which apparently just makes you immortal or something even if someone goes into it specifically and kills you there too (depending on how canon we assume the sequels are)
You know, im actually allowing myself to be quite optimistic about Xbox's showcase.
I couldn't care less about Starfield, but the rest of the rumoured games for today's lineup, are things that I can definitely see myself being interested in.
Guess we will find out in a few hours!

Where did that Atari platform emerge from? Could've sworn the last decade or so of news about Atari has just been nothing outside of scams, so is that another scam? Also, slightly selfishly, my first kneejerk console peasant thought was "oh, no console ports, ok fine with you abandoning us, can't be helped, but wtf is that nobody of a platform you're deviously courting? You abandoned our generous pool of customer monies for THEM?!"
No, the Atari VCS exists, but that must be a mistake, because it's a glorified emulation box, there's no way it could run that.
Fyi, that game does have console versions. Probably Intel's showcase didn't mention that because it's pc-specific, so of course they're not going to show the competition.
Ah, that might explain why it only appeared in a few places and not on their official social accounts (was wondering if it was a shame thing at first lol), tho there were a few gameplay video results from 2020/21 claiming to be alpha footage on that, um, device, which apparently hosted demos like that or something around the time. Didn't check those for authenticity however, wouldn't know what to look for. Either way, there's no way in hell am going to remember it's name as anything other than 'VHS' - it's the Atari VHS and no amount of looking at it longer is gonna help.

I will be honest, i don’t have too much high hopes, especially after Phill Spencer’s latest big statement.
Im guessing we’ll see the next big update for the likes of halo infinite, forza, and flight simulator.
Maybe the next COD game, some gameplay for fable, and the next Ori game?
For Bethesda, I really hope either Starfield looks downright mind-blowing, or they have some other stuff up their sleeves

I mean, it's probably going to have those Persona 3 remake and Persona 5 tactics game trailers that leaked earlier this week, tho that obviously isn't what Xbox fans want to see. Not first party. not exactly system selling killer apps. Also not Xbox console exclusives (+ pc), they're no doubt also coming to PS5 and probably also Switch, because why would Sega pass up a potential customer base respectively twice and six times larger than Xbox.
Can't say too much about Fable. I seriously hope the narrator guy isn't in the final game

So a new Star Wars game, Outlaws by Ubisoft. And finally a game that doesn;t feature a Jedi. Too bad it's a Ubisoft game.
I do think In-engine trailers are kind of pointless. I mean it's not exactly the representation of the gameplay, so what's the point?

33 Immortals looks interesting. The artstyle is unique, and it actually looks like a raid game.
Payday 3 looks really outdated graphic-wise.
Persona 3 remake? Or remaster? regardless, I know some fans are excited.
More for Avowed, a new RPG from Obisidian. And just like their previous works, the game look fun.
