We spent the weekend in Oklahoma for my gf's class reunion. It was fine mostly, but she'd been banned from attending the gathering at a cheese and wine bar because she didn't want to disclose her credit card and social security number through CashApp to RSVP, and contacted the venue directly about other options to register. The conversation was amicable, i.e.: no harsh words, threats, or otherwise volatile exchanges, but the organizer for the reunion event found out, took offense, and literally banned her from coming. We went anyway (can't ban someone from a public venue,) just stayed out of the reserved area for the reunion, and all of her classmates came out to see her and visit. They all agreed the organizer had overstepped his authority, and went out of their way to shove his own senseless snub in his face. He visibly wasn't happy, but that made the polite victory all the sweeter. AND we dodged his $25/person registration fee; it was awesome; paid for our own drinks (there was four of us, so $100 would have been required, but we made it out with a $50 bar tab instead,) enjoyed the old friends, and left. In yo' FACE!
