I didn't realize that this was coming out already. But this week is Mortal Kombat week.

Oh well alright then.Early access, then normal release in a week.
Reiko still looks like a Shao Kahn wannabe. Not convinced yet if he’d be any more fun to play either based on what’s been shown so far, but he was ok enough back then.
I'm surprised they even bothered to bring him back. Reiko always felt generic to me and was just kind of there.Reiko still looks like a Shao Kahn wannabe. Not convinced yet if he’d be any more fun to play either based on what’s been shown so far, but he was ok enough back then.
I imagine someone like John Cena playing him in a future MK movie. Nothing against him, but so far he seems like he’ll be a grappler style character. Basically a replacement for Kano.I'm surprised they even bothered to bring him back. Reiko always felt generic to me and was just kind of there.
I rather just have Kano with a full move set, instead of an assist. I didn't like it when they replaced Kano with Jared. At one point it was supposed to be Kano in MK4, but decided just to make a new character who fights almost exactly like him; including the eye laser. I don't know why NR continues to do stuff like this. They're not the only ones guilty of doing this, but then the most obvious about it.Basically a replacement for Kano.
NetherRealm knew they had to step up their single player content after SFVI. I'll be either getting this, or Lies of P for my big bro's birthday next week. I plan getting it as soon as possible for him. MK1 will keep him busy. But the invasion mode is awesome. It is like this MK version of the worlds in Mario 3, where you move across a board space by space and each space is some sort of encounter. Most of these encounters are 1 round fights but sometimes you might get a mini tower or a test your might challenge.
Each encounter offers rewards like cosmetics but there are also consumables that grant bonuses for one fight. Or a piece of equipable gesr to grant you extra things in battle. The mode also has a pseudo rpg system where you level up your fighter granting stats and stat points that can help you deal with fights.
Eventually the fights become obviously unfair where random shit will get thrown at you in the fights, or having to fight like 4 dudes at once without hp recovery.
There are secrets and things to find on the overboard maps too.
It is a great mode and a lot of fun while still functually being MK.
Sp uh... Soulcalibur thenBeen playing the other modes. Towers are just towers nothing really exciting there. But the invasion mode is awesome.
