I think it looks fine here mostly. 2D drawings can make the ludicrous look far more acceptable than when you translate it to 3D. Like characters with ridiculously long ribbons trailing behind them for example.
It's less to do with it being 2D, and more to do with head size. The larger the head, the smaller the body seems in proportion. That's why anime characters have larger breasts than normal, because you need to scale the breasts up. Now if you ignore the head by staring at the chest, you determine scale by the shoulder width and sternum to navel length, which is where all these chest size guestimates come from.

Nobody in the media was making "gamers" feel bad for their collective horniness over Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil 8, or Cammie in Street Fighter 6, or the entirety of Baldur's Gate 3.
You know... there's a buzzword for that, but I don't want to throw more fuel on the fire.

These are very "masculine" women who can kill you with their bare hands. They are able, independent, and phallic, sometimes in the literal sense if you know what I'm saying (it's a futanari joke). I don't see a conflict in sexualizing these characters. Once you get to submissive characters you're stepping on ideological landmines. Anything to do with some sort of power imbalance is usually it, like exhibitionism, being mute, looking like a custom made sexdoll, or half of the characters in Persona.

And don't forget Anita Sarkeesian! She personally pisses in gamers' corn flakes! Every morning!
I have never named or criticized Anita Sarkeesian! Ever!

It's revealing that you equate "normal" with good.

It's also revealing that you think you can just air your fairly explicit sexual hangups in public with zero judgement, because I have never, ever felt any need to tell people my feelings about boobs. The only people who ever need to know that have probably already figured it out, and I don't really see why the rest of the world would find any of it interesting.

I like remake Tifa's design. I would even go so far as to say it's attractive, certainly more so than most attempts to make sexy women in video games, but that's specifically because some effort was clearly made to make her look like a person. Unless you're a child getting excited over Barbie's plastic choking hazards, boobs are only really interesting if they're attached to a person. A person who might, for example, wear a sports bra sometimes.

And for all the talk of normality. The vast, vast majority of people, even straight men, do seem to understand this. That's the real reason why the people who want all female characters to have random balloons taped to them have lost so much ground, because most people expect more at this point.
It's cute that you think that's what I was doing, when I'm in fact a strong subscriber to the mantra of "the smaller they are they closer to her heart you are", but that's besides the point. You can appreciate beauty in a non-sexual way man. I haven't even begun being sexual in any manner here. Appreciating hot women is just normal, it's obvious, you don't need to do it in a sexual context.

And yeah I do think overall her new design is better thanks to the zettai ryoiki too. Thing is, you can hold both thoughts in your head at once, it's possible! And it's deceptive to pretend otherwise. Overall the new design is better, but also they did make her boobs look smaller, so it'd be even better if they were OG sized, that's all that's being said.

Let me get this straight. If I spend any time on this and don't agree with you I'm a creep, and if spend any time on this and I do agree with you I'm a well adjusted indivibla bla bla
Nope, sorry, you missed the point. Take care.

when I'm in fact a strong subscriber to the mantra of "the smaller they are they closer to her heart you are",
What is that sentence supposed to mean exactly? How does a woman's breast size relate to a man's proximity to her heart?

Is it meant to be taken literally? For instance, does it suggest that one is physically closer to a woman's cardiovascular organ if they place their face in her breasts or embrace her?

Or is it meant to be interpreted figuratively? For example, does it imply that a woman with smaller breasts is capable of loving a man more deeply because of her physical attributes?

Because the former is just plain dumb and the latter has some icky implications. So would you please clarify?

Why are you mad though?

Breast size preferences/fetishes are sexual. Wanting to look at breasts, independent of any context, is a form of voyeurism. When there is context, when there is a real person, it can maybe become something more than that, but that context doesn't exist here.

If you find a fictional character attractive or get some voyeuristic pleasure form looking at them, that's nice but noone else needs to know or care, and if you make it their business they have a right to judge you because you're the one who forced them to deal with your sexual bullshit.. which is apparently not even yours, so I'm not even sure who you're mad on behalf of.

Noone is playing BG3 and screeching about how Halsin's dick needs to be exactly 23.7% bigger for maximum jerkoff potential. That game has actual nudity, and yet the discourse around it is all about how the characters make people feel and the attachments people have developed to them. So why are you like this? Why are you so fixated on the fictional body of a fictional woman who you seem to feel nothing else for worthy of talking about?

Again, I don't think they actually did. I think some people just have very warped memories and associations of this character, spend far too much time fixating on insignificant features of her design and somehow fail to realize how absolutely pathetic and cringe it is to inflict their stunted sexuality on the rest of the world.

Doesn't that then mean that women who show their breasts or wear revealing outfits are exhibiting a form of exhibitionism? And if so then are you not supposed to look?

I've always been of the mindset where she wants you to look, but she doesn't want you to look like you are obviously looking. Sort of a enjoy the view but subtly.

For me this is part of the problem. It's hypocrocritical of these articles to exist. Why is the sex and nudity in BG3 perfectly fine to fetishize, but when people want Tifa or Lara Croft or Samus or whoever the fuck to look a certain way (whatever excuse that brings) then it's an issue? It just doesn't make any sense why one is okay and the other isn't. Or why people can express annoyance over a change to Mary Jane and it's a problem but you can fuck all the wild animals you want in other games.

There is no consistency in the shaming and that's kind of the issue to me because it's just confusing.

Oh her chest is 100% smaller. But her original chest was fucking comically large because PS1 graphics are nonsense. So I think that if there was any complaining about her new model in Remake for that reason, those people are simply unrealistic and silly. But seeing as how the article that started all this isn't real, I think it's safe to say that very few people thought Tifa was "nerfed".

MEMEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

Also, that was a bug that got patched out. Though it would not surprise me, if modders put that back into the PC versions.

Houseman certainly thought so and wouldn't shut up about it for 3 months. There were definitely a few others before 7R released (not on this forum), but like any of these idiots, most of them dropped and forgot about it once the next nontroversy came out or when the game finally released.

That depends on context, doesn't it.

You can always look. What you aren't supposed to do is stare, because staring is a non-consensual sex act. Even fetish clubs will kick you out for staring. If you want to stare at women, go to a strip club and pay them.

I've always been of the mindset where she wants you to look, but she doesn't want you to look like you are obviously looking. Sort of a enjoy the view but subtly.
That is one way of understanding the difference between looking and staring. If you are looking at someone, you are taking the effort to minimize any risk of making them feel uncomfortable. What's not acceptable is to ignore that risk.

Why is the sex and nudity in BG3 perfectly fine to fetishize, but when people want Tifa or Lara Croft or Samus or whoever the fuck to look a certain way (whatever excuse that brings) then it's an issue?
Because again, the discourse around BG3 is about the characters. There isn't this degree of creepy hyperfixation on those character's bodies and physical characteristics, no anger that they don't conform to some very specific physiognomic fetish, just people celebrating the weird little parasocial relationships they've built with fictional people and the artistry that goes into making that happen.

We got one lady who looks like the love child of Robert Picardo and the fem gremlin from Gremlins 2 and another lady who's burly and covered in scars and exhaust ports, on top of the fact that you can choose your pronouns and put dicks on girls and vadges on dudes. And not a peep from reactionaries, while TLoU2, Horizon: Forbidden West, Spider-Man 2, and Starfield... well, you know. It makes me wonder whether they're even aware BG3 exists since you'd think they'd have a field day with that one. Or is it just that they only go after the super popular titles for maximum clicks? Surely not, right?

I'm still upset that Lara Crofts breasts no longer look like they'd impale you if you gave her a hug.

Actually, I don't care about any of it. I'm just adding to the post count so this gets to 10 pages to make others happy.

Also, bloody hell, I went looking for images of Lara. I didn't expect all the porn. I am a naive fool.

Selective obliviousness and trying to get "nerd street cred" while being two faced about it. Some of these assholes did go after Alan Wake II briefly or used "woke" as a complaint in their review. Especially this one pathetic douche. I am just glad these assholes didn't go anywhere near Streets of Rage. It's been "woke" since 1991. Then again, if they try, we fans will kick their asses and tell them to get the fuck out. Us Sega and SOR fans ain't got time to deal with that shit.

Also, bloody hell, I went looking for images of Lara. I didn't expect all the porn. I am a naive fool.
Here, have some wholesome Wonder Woman and Lara Croft.

Also, what will you all have when you reach ten pages? Then what? Think Escapists users!

That is because the characters are a one off. If those characters returned in a BG4 but made uglier or different, then people absolitely would be upset about it.

Then use her original concept art.
Wasnt her original concept art hyper stylized in an anime way. I dunno if that translates to the realistic dimentions of the remake.

It is kind of funny that these articles come out about objectifying video game characters, when the entire internet is basically filled with rule34 of the characters.

They mad about how a character looks in their games, meanwhile fanporn of that character is alrwady everwhere else. It really is pretty funny.
