Interesting. My guess was that our presence at least in some way contributes to some success metric like site visits or whatever.

I was wondering because I accidentally went to the Escapist homepage, and they don't even link the forums any more.
I was looking for it too; for me (without adblocker or anything) The text was illegibly merged with the ads on the right side.

(Ah, ok seems fixed at the moment, the slide-out is with background again)

So: No still linked, but under "More" and mixed into "Policy", "Contact" and "etc"... usually not a place for a community-hub...

Hahaha, that's kind of funny. Honestly, it doesn't even matter, nobody new is joining anyway.

You know how after sitting down in front of the TV and/or computer for a while it's good to get up and walk around for a bit? I wonder how that compares to crawling, cause that involves arms and upper body.

Probably not much of a difference. Your legs are still going to be taking most of your weight, and people generally move their arms while walking anyway. The benefits of giving your arms a bit more of a workout is probably outweighed by the extra strain on your knees and wrists.

Ok, hear me out. Videogame recakes. Games remade as cake. Super Mario Bros 1-1 or Green Hill Zone, but it's all cake.

I really want some cake.

Super Mario had a few dessert levels, or was that desert?
Both actually.
The brain named itself.
Did it? I would think it more likely that it named another brain first, probably from another species, likely not even considering that the appellation would apply to itself. Can that really be called naming oneself?

There should be some sort of government funded, not for profit dating resource. Dating apps are great in theory. If the theory was to match people with people who they are most compatible with, and not to keep everyone spinning their wheels on the apps to goad them into forking out cash for premium.

If I think about Doom, loading E1M1, going through the level, blasting all the zombiemen and imps, getting all the secrets, and such.

Is Doom running on me?

Quite possibly it was pronounced with the W, but because it's a bit tricky to pronounce it dropped away as time went on. Knights apparently was pronounced with the k and the g, but lost those.
The Swedish words for those words ("svärd" and "knekt") have the same roots, and the dropped sounds are still there.

If you're named Elizabeth you have 8 names to choose from.

But are you playing it or is it playing you?

The problem with the modern world is that it's changing too fast. Hundreds of years ago life largely stayed the same generation to generation. The things you learned as a child largely held true for your adult life. Now days, with technology developing so rapidly and the internet spreading ideas like an out of control cancer, by the time you reach adulthood the world of your childhood is completely irrelevant. It seems like a significant portion of the population has made it their goal to systematically dismantle every value, tradition, and concept until all that remains is a seething pool of chaos. You aren't allowed to live in the culture that you grew up in because it doesn't exist anymore, it's been shattered and re-arranged every few years like a kaleidoscope.

Thinking of starting my own splinter religion from Christianity like many before have done, but instead the hook is we're already in hell and the only way we can return back to reality is by working together as a harmonious de-escalatory species.

Oh and god already died long long ago who's interdimensional ethereal corpse allowed life to flourish from its decay.

How did they die? No-one knows, don't look at me I only just started this thing!

Plus I promise not to start any wars: civil, international, intergalactic, interdimensional or spiritual...no wars in this one garunteed. We ain't like the other girls.

If you're disappointed with the product you can leave any time free of charge or judgement, rules are minimumal, don't be a kunt basically.

Every day is a holiday. Because you deserve it.

No need to pray, who you gonna pray to anyway you bloody idiot? Scroll back up. They dead!

No hiercharies, fuck that abuse-enabling shit.

Uh, communal activities and traditions are whatever you want, this is as hands off (must resist church abuse joke!) as it gets.

The "after death" question? I don't fucking know, haven't heard back from a dead person yet. Tho as it's the main common hook through all other religions, we're gonna have to workshop this bullshit eventually, ain't we?

Scientific method is still cool and accepted. Unless it compromises my tax-free bracket status.

If I missed anything else, just assume it's the bestest coolest answer to all of those potential unasked questions. 👌
