Its pretty cool, like you do have way more moves then in DW2, but they tend to make sense, like you have a few moves that use your squad to either do a ranged volley, charge, or even encircle an enemy.
I'll be playing the demo in a few. It just finished downloading.

Two years into my playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2, the game bores me immediately. Nothing fun to do because it plays like shit (with walking not only forced, but the next speed that you must hold a button down for too fast a run) and is so railroaded; terrible anti-western story with really fake sounding protagonist who whines and talks endlessly like a woman (the problem of whiny, submissive tool Niko from IV never addressed, now in a genre that normally says so much with so few words). I despise what Rockstar became and don't know how I will ever play through another of their restrictive, sluggish, UNFUNNY open world adventures.

I stopped caring for Rockstar after GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption 1. I only played GTAV because my older brother was playing. Even then, I didn't do that many missions and it's his copy of the game any way.

I got as far as I could in the Dynasty Warriors Origin demo up to Lu Bu. I don't like the fact this fight is mandatory and you can't run away. At the same time, they incorporate the Wu Long bullshit. So I gave up. I like the other improvement though. This game is more challenging compared to past titles on the default difficulty. It seems Omega Force is learning from their past titles. You have the dodge mechanics from Age of Calamity, and you have sub-weapon moves by pressing R1 + whatever face button gives out a different move. I do like the restart at a specific point in battle function, but make sure you have as much health as possible, because these are based on auto saves and not manual saves. Hopefully you can do manual saves in the full game.

I do wonder if you can just run back to the start to end the fight since Lu Bu is bullshit for such an early mission.

Nope, he has ranged attacks that will instantly magnet in on you, if you try. A guy I subscribed to since 2008, just beat him on Hard mode 2 hours ago. LuizPrower is the name.

Yeah, people on the forums are saying hes hard, but beatable. I'm not going to put that much effort into a demo, but I do think I want the game when it comes out... or at least at some point.

Don’t play it then? Clearly sounds like you’re not getting much out of it.

Curious that after the few months I've been back you picked this post to reply.

I basically don't play it. Once in a blue moon, when I have no desire to do anything, when nothing scratches my itch, I give it another shot, and am lucky if I even finish one mission before closing it again. If I finish it, I can say I did and have more ammunition to fire at Rockstar. But that doesn't seem likely.

Relevant to one of your earlier complaints.

If you don’t like how it plays, then it’s not going to eventually win you over or something. The controls are meant to be very deliberate, so Arthur doesn’t act like an arcade character interacting in a very non-arcade-like world. The whole game is a slow burn. Free roam plays much differently than the story missions in terms of agency, because the story missions serve the narrative.

Hating what the story entails and how it’s told is one thing, but the breadth and depth still beats any of Rockstar’s prior efforts hands down.

Nothing else like it, and probably won’t be again.

Posted this in July of last year, but not here.

This game logic is so strange. Convict in striped prison uniform asks for help. I hogtie him to bring him to the law. Stranger witnesses me "kidnapping" him. I kill him. Then another witness, then another, and pretty soon it's that scene from Mulholland Drive. Think I killed four witnesses, out in the empty plains.

Okay, so you replied, but you never replied to my follow-up post. There is no slow run. It lacks that default video game run that's so popular because it hits the balance between conveniently fast and still slow enough that you can steer and explore more easily. You either walk or charge. "Deliberate," lol. Feels like you're dragging him.

Finished 420BLAZEIT2 GAME OF THE YEAR. Honestly, it's just fun. The premise is stupid, but the developers are so committed to the bit that you can't help but respect it, and the mechanics and level design are inspired even if the comedy doesn't always land. If the world had more games like this, it'd probably be a better place.

Is it? Hansel is probably the biggest RDR2 fan on the forum, judging by how often I see him posting videos about the game.
That's what I wondered. Could have told me at any time about any game that if I don't like it I could stop playing it. So, without remembering his RDR2 posts, I assumed he was a big fan, bothered.

Final Fight CD (Color Hack), Operation Contra [called Probotector as this is the European version, but you're playing as a human] (GBC), and Pac-Man (GBC).

Renegade (Sega Master System version) - I still say it's the best and most fun port of the retro consoles. Better than arcade version too.
