At the risk of semantic piss-taking- yes it does have a narrative. The narrative is of the game company UFOsoft which made 50 games, and it is explicitly relayed in the descriptions of each game. That is a meta-narrative, but it's still a narrative.
And then of course individual games have narratives.
Narrative comes from narrate, as in telling a story, what's the story in a company making 50 games given in dry 30 word descriptions. It's a list.
Pedro Eustache, aka the flute guy, is back again with TGA orchestra! Really excited to see him go hard and passionate during the GOTY performance

Alright, here we go with the list of annoucements. And right from the start of the show we have a few new announcement
We are starting off with a new Ninja Gaiden! It's a 16-bit side scroller. I think it's supposed to be a remake of the classic NES games?
One move away, a cozy VR game, where you are just packing yout stuff for the move and unpacking it at your new place. ehh...
Dave the Diver is getting a new update; Apparently a riverwater by the jungle
Thick as Thieves; A new stealth game from the guy who did Deus Ex. AANNNDDD it's a pvpve heist game. FFS, I love the art style and gameplay looks nice, but the fact that there's gonna be a pvp element killed the hype for me.
Shadown Labyrinth. A metroidvania from Bandai Namco. Looks really cool
Steel Paws. It's a mobile game. Pass
Tales from the Shire. Look, it's an art choice and I get that. In fact, I think environment looks pretty and colorful. But character models....ugh
Stalcraft Operations. I think it's a co-op shooter for kids? ehh
Midnight Murder club, a pvp shooter set in a classic murder-mystery setting. Everything is dark and you must flash your light and set up traps to get the other team. Unique concept!
Kyora, A 2d sandbox game, like Terraria. I mean they gotta do something to do something different from Terraria
Rematch, A soccer game, but each player controls the athlete in the field. I think this is a proper way to make a soccer game, and not have one player control the whole team (cough EA cough)
Solasta 2. Never played the original, so I can't comment. But it looks like a decent CRPG.
Witcher 4! And it's starring witcheress Ciri! meaning her witcher ending in W3 is canon
AND We're getting a new Elden Ring game? Holy moly....
A new, untitled game in the Ico series. I thought they were done after The Last Guardian, But this looks fucking amazing. The only downside is that Epic Game studio is backing this project, meaning it's likely gonna be EGS exclusive. sigh...
We also got a piece of soundtrack for Civ 7. Yeah this is something the series has always nailed. It's sooo fucking good! Just hoping the game itself will be great.
Outer Worlds 2. Looks amazing, and hilariously self-aware. Not gonna be EGS-exclusive this time. Thank god.

Steel Hunters. A mecha battle royale? If it's BR, why now, after the pupularity has died down

Project Centry, Ryu Ga studio's in-development game set in 1915 Japan. And like all their past work, the city looks amazing.

Arad is supposed to be a co-op open-world set in DNF universe, but I swear it doesn't look in-universe at all.
Dying Light: The Beast. We are playing as Kyle Crane again. And it looks like we'll have dense forest area as well as Kyle being a jacked-up supersoldier
Squid Game: The Game. Oh ffs, it should be violent, not cartoony.

A Game of Thrones RPG. I think this is the second time such a thing was attempted? But this one actually looks good.

Thank you! The game was already announced earlier this year, but we got a release date for next year now. It's weird they didn't show any gameplay, when they got plenty of gameplay videos on YouTube. I am still happy though.
