More on Tides of Annihilation for those interested. This looks to be a stylish action game.

Unveiling Tides of Annihilation: a new PS5 action-adventure inspired by Arthurian legends

Greetings, PlayStation fans!
Here at Eclipse Glow Studio, we're thrilled to finally introduce Tides of Annihilation, our PS5 action-adventure game that thrusts you into a shattered, mystical London.

Tides of Annihilation was inspired by a straightforward idea: to capture the thrill of fighting alongside trusted allies in a single-player gaming experience. To that end, we've created an innovative combat system inspired by the ideals of courage, loyalty, and honor.
Tides of Annihilation features intuitive co-op combat in a single-player experience
Players will take on the role of Gwendolyn, who wields the power of a mysterious gray fog that can manifest two spectral knights at her side. Each knight has a distinct combat role. Whether it's charging into battle, defending against attacks, or unleashing devastating combos, players will need to strategically choose which knights to summon based on their preferred gameplay style and the challenges they face.
The interplay between Gwendolyn and the knights creates a dynamic, fast-paced, and deeply engaging combat experience. It's a system that our team (veterans from top game studios) fell in love with during internal playtests.
A broken London beckons
Our game world reimagines London as a sprawling battleground where modern ruins coexist with echoes of a medieval past. Imagine the city as a giant tree, its branches representing iconic districts and landmarks—each twisted and transformed by the otherworldly invaders.
You'll traverse two distinct versions of this in-between world:
 • Modern London: Familiar landmarks stand scarred by the supernatural invasion, offering a haunting glimpse of what once was.
 • Medieval Fantasy Realm: Arthurian influences reign supreme, creating a medieval world of ancient magic and mythical creatures.
Players will explore these interconnected realms, uncovering clues, searching for the legendary Grail Shards, as they unravel the mystery behind the invasion.
Colossal knights roam the land
One of the most awe-inspiring and exciting features of the game are the colossal knights roaming Greater London. More than a spectacular visual backdrop, these are interactive challenges woven into the gameplay. You'll climb their immense forms, explore their surfaces, and engage in epic battles that will test your skills and courage.
These unique encounters are especially momentous in our Enhanced Mode, which is being developed exclusively for PS5 Pro players. With the Pro's additional GPU power and PSSR technology, the game achieves higher resolution, ray tracing, improved image fidelity, and smoother 60fps gameplay.
The quest is just beginning …
This is just a taste of what awaits you in Tides of Annihilation. We're eager to share more in the coming months, so please stay tuned for further updates!

A piece of news from last year that I missed out on:

They are rereleasing Ever 17 in about a month

The game that was more or less the precursor to the 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors.

@Drathnoxis did you know this?
No I didn't. I'm interested in Ever 17, but I don't think I can play it. Visual Novels don't really have enough to engage me. I tried Danganronpa but never managed to make it more than an hour. If my favorite streamer does a playthrough of Ever 17 I'll definitely watch it. He did a tryout of the game a couple of months ago, but I don't think he's interested enough to a full play.

Huh obisidian next game comes out in like a week, thought it was further away

Saw it. WE BALL REGARDLESS

FromSoft didn't ***** out on me this year.
Currently replaying them, man they be rough, not using joystick for movement makes simple action incredibly difficult. Would be cool if they updated that, but realistically, the game would complete cake if you had decent control.

Importing your save from one to the other is pretty cool, but it means there's nothing really to buy once you start the next one, you already have essentially infinite money and perfectly adequate mech, one expansion is fine ish, but two is way too much for that.

Fuck you Blizzard.
I'll be honest, I much rather take loot boxes over live-service stores. Assuming they let you earn the free loot boxes the old way (level-up, arcade mode rewards), I much rather have this having to buy a premium battle pass + grinding.

Is loot boxes still shitty? Oh fuck the hell yes. But at least it let's to unlock past and new skins, unlike live-service bs where those stuff are gone forever after the season ends

Same difference. There are lootboxes that have been removed from games to never be seen again.
