Called it that Marvel Rivals would crash and burn. It was just another "fuck you Overwatch, I'm going to play this game" trend game.
Marvel Rivals is doing great and ain't even close to bombing. I hate what happened with those lay offs, but the game is selling like hot cakes.

I kind of love the way that companies make stuff up to sound reasonable.

A committee for Meta’s board of directors approved the change on Feb.13 after determining that the “target total cash compensation” for its executives “was at or below the 15th percentile of the target total cash compensation of executives holding similar positions” at peer companies.

“Following this increase, the target total cash compensation for the named executive officers (other than the CEO) falls at approximately the 50th percentile of the Peer Group Target Cash Compensation,” the filing said."
So, their argument here nothing other than "Some other companies' executives are paying themselves more than we do", with no explanation of why increasing executive pay at Meta was going to deliver any improvements in corporate performance.

I mean, what is there to gain from keeping up appearances anymore?

I would love to work those hours if my week looked like this
Travel, exercise, personal appointments, "business meals" (eating lunch)? Why the hell are these all included in paid working hours? They ain't for me.

One might assume that "business meals" involve at least some element of business to justify them being a paid activity.

One way or another, if we subtract the 20 hours of "miscellaneous" that doesn't appear to involve any work, that infographic suggests CEOs work 35 hours a week.

Depends whether 'working alone' actually means taking a nap in their office, like it does for the c-suit at my workplace.

In any case, in my experience few things are as detrimental to getting any actual work done as executives trying to get involved, so from that angle it's probably a good thing when they aren't around a lot.

I could see that, if it wasn't 5 hours a week-- equivalent to the hour lunch break a day an average employee often gets.

Methinks they're just taking their lunch with fellow execs and having it be paid.

Quite possibly. But then, I also think they're potentially having business breakfasts and dinners, too.

Broadly, I could credit 55h / week. I wouldn't be surprised if plenty of CEOs were doing substantially more. By and large, most people I know who are high up don't have much in the way of boundaries between work and home/play in this digital era. For instance, if you email them at 9pm, you might get a reply; they might be working in the evenings, etc. (potentially whilst watching TV or whatever).
