We often forget how bad normies are at games. There's people who outright can't remember what button does what and get stunlocked there and quit.DSP figured out how to play the game. This is no excuse.

The point I'm trying to make in my previous post is, we shouldn't hold that against him. He tried to play the game; IMO that puts him ahead of some people. Not that I expect the show to turn out all that well, but it won't be because this guy has never played a video game and tried jumping into a pretty mechanically complex action game right away. Saying that he sucks because he can't handle playing God of War as his first game ever would make us no better than the hardcore Souls crowd sneering at anyone who can't beat Dark Souls when they've never played an RPG before. We often forget how bad normies are at games. Oh yeah I definitely agree with that. Way better than other netflix directors, like for example the lady who had outright contempt for the Witcher and tried to "fix" it, resulting in her clashing with the main lead playing Geralt (Henry Cavile I wanna say) who was actually a fan, causing him to quit part way through the series. He at least cares and seemingly doesn't have outright disdain for the source material. The point I'm trying to make in my previous post is, we shouldn't hold that against him. I agree with @BrawlMan that he should at least watch someone else play through it if he can't do it himself though.
Henry Cavlli is a nerd hero. Hollywood should put him in charge of anything nerdy they wanna make.Oh yeah I definitely agree with that. Bro you should see DSP's 200k WWE Champions mobile account.
I am PRAYING this is a troll-post, because holy shit, it sounds like they are in some deep shit if the charge dispute gets denied.
In case this is real, I am glad she found out what kind of person he is before they were legally married. Anyone who spends $600 on a fucking gacha/lootboxes needs to seek help; Dude said he has anxiety, and he didn't think of spending that $600 (which still would've been bad since this was their emergency funding) on a quality therapist?
Honestly 600 is chump change, most F2P are held aloft by a few massive spender (like 10K+).

DSP has cash to burn, for some reason.Bro you should see DSP's 200k WWE Champions mobile account.![]()
Okay, $600 might not sound a lot to some, but the OP said they live paycheck to paycheck, while she works 55 hrs/wk and the moron works as a uber driver, so the money is tight for them. Yeah if he doomed himself i'd laugh as well, but this could very well be their future on the line.Honestly 600 is chump change, most F2P are held aloft by a few massive spender (like 10K+).
The problem is more that he used a shared credit card, if it was his money, w/e. Would it be any better if he spent it on something else (say, i dunno, sky trip or something)?
$600 on one instance sounds like a lot but if it's like overall then yeah it's nothing. There's a reason why there's so many of these games. If it's Fate Grand Order or something and you're actually trying to NP5 a new servant though, yeah 600 bucks may not even suffice actually. Thankfully that game can be cleared even with f2p content easily and is all about the story so there's no actual reason to do that. But still some people do.

His pedigree for show running/writing is pretty solid; the parts of TNG most people like, DS9, Nu!BSG, For All Mankind. Like you’re not saddled with an idiot, this guy knows how to manage writers and get shit done.
At the very least this guy tried out the source material, so he should have SOME understanding of what kind of world it is. Still doesn't save me from sinking feeling it's gonna bomb
Wrong thread. But I'm watching you lol.Okay, meeting Vincent was interesting, and his boss fight was fun. But I swear this bit was inspired by castlevania Dracular; Vampires in their humanoid form turning into giant beasts? I almost expected Vincent to say "What is a man? Nothing but a miserable pile of secrets!"
And with that, chapter 11 is done! Honestly, everything was laid out around same terrain level, so they all felt easy enough to collect. I am happy with that.
Now back to the saucer for more minigames, QB, and definitely some more materias.
Update from OP in the comment:

I'm starting to think he's one of those people who uses "anxiety" as an excuse for everythingUpdate: I am overwhelmed by all the replies, thank you, I am trying to read every comment. It feels obvious now that I was not overreacting. Yes, the card is in my name only and is not that old, but he saved the info somehow. The card has been in my bag so I’m not sure how/when he got the info into his game. I am calling capital one in the morning to dispute the charge. His mom left me a voicemail saying that I gave him a panic attack and to give him space. I did text his drug dealing friend to try and get the $600 but he left me on read. Also he is currently online on discord playing Genshin impact at his mom’s house.
Update 3/19: Ok, I can’t keep up with all the comments and messages I woke up to. I am checking what I can. Thank you everyone for reading and telling me the truth. First, his family is very involved with his life for cultural reasons, but they have all demonized me since we met. His mom said I am never going to see him again due to the way I treat him. I got her on the phone and told her the engagement was off and she started screaming that it’s already off so I can’t end it. He has blocked me, including on Discord which makes me think he saw my post.
As for the $600, I woke up to a Venmo from his sketchy friend. I paid off the card and locked it. I would love to have disputed the charge but even if I did, it would put his Genshin account into a negative balance, then he would have time to spend more to fix it. I have no doubt he would find a way to get another $600 and keep the account. As much as I want to blow up his drug I am afraid of how he would react if he lost it. And we don’t have shared accounts but I have let myself be taken advantage of. I see that I fucked up by saying it was “our” credit card, and he’s not even a co signer on the lease so I’m screwed because he doesn’t actually have to pay rent anymore.
Hopefully they fix at least one of 'character creation is an incomprehensible mess' and 'if you do character creation wrong, beating the game becomes significantly harder'.System Shock 2 Remaster - 6/26/25
IMMERZIIAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!I've never cared for System Shock and never understood the hype for it.
The truly bad gameplay and frustrating design prevented me from ever giving it enough of a chance to get into it. Give me a Bioshock, Dishonored, or Prey any day.IMMERZIIAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!
Cyberpunk setting.....one of the first of its kind in immersive sim...survival horror in the context of SS2....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnddddddddddd the Die Hard type scenarios for both games. I am not big into the franchise either, nor most of its inspirations, aside from Dead Space and certain parts of Evil Within 2. Yet I have nothing, but respect for laying the blue print/ground work for this specific genre of games.
I'll take it. Although, honestly, the original release is still playable just fine on PC.@FakeSympathy, @Chimpzy, @Casual Shinji, @CriticalGaming, @PsychedelicDiamond, @Dirty Hipsters, @Old_Hunter_77, @NerfedFalcon, @The Rogue Wolf, @TheMysteriousGX, and @Xprimentyl.

You're not wrong and there is nothing wrong with your choices.Give me a Bioshock, Dishonored, or Prey any day.
Just because it was first doesn't mean anything when it did pretty much everything badly.
That depends, as there are some cases of people not getting the game to run on modern hardware without some type of mod or weird finagling.I'll take it. Although, honestly, the original release is still playable just fine on PC.
