It has been genuinely hilarious watching FIFA's old, corrupt regime collapse and Sepp Blatter be dethroned, only for FIFA to roar back with an even more shamelessly, nakedly corrupt new form under Infantino. It's almost like they're trying to be so blatant that no-one believes they can be doing anything wrong. All that time we thought the IOC was bad, but FIFA have effortlessly snatched that crown.

Not even his so called friends care about him in reality. Kirk is just another stepping stone for their selfish dreams.

Crypto crashes pretty often and pretty hard. Is there a reason why this crypto crash would be more important than any of the previous ones? (I mean aside from the one where the Magic: The Gathering card trading site that was the main crypto exchange until something like 2014 shut down and ran off with a lot of BTC.)

Mainly because the has finally and fully burst to completion that anybody that got out early, got out early and knew what was going to happen. Trump gave them the signal. The ones who invested too much or bet all their chips are pretty much bankrupt and beyond broke. They invested in crypto and nothing else. A majority of them I don't feel bad for. It's just always nice to have a lesson, and reminder.

The only thing new about even that is it being POTUS doing it, instead of a loose coalition of internet weirdos doing a pump and dump.

Which still makes it a problem, and that these assholes are still dumb enough to fall for it (again). So it's worth mentioning as far as I am concerned.

I'm so glad I never liked these cars, even before finding out about Musk dumbass.

Sucks to be him, and that's what you get for sucking up to fascism and nazism.

Response to this has been strangely muted in much of the media, but... holy shit.

The West has long operated controls over trade and extensive rights to dictate trade and industrial policy on other nations. Now China has used the same policy tools to do it to the West - of course including the USA. Underlying this is the fact that - arguably - China now has a larger economy than the USA. I think we've also long lived with an assumption that the USA would win a trade war with China. Increasingly, it's looking like China would win because it could absolutely cripple the USA's access to key products, and whilst it would take a major financial hit, it's built a domestic economy and global reach capable of surviving loss of sales to the USA.

The OG Xbox already experimented with DLCs.

Halo 2 had map packs.
Splinter Cell had three stand alone DLC missions
OG Star Wars Battlefront 2 on Xbox had DLC for new playable hero characters

And while you can argue these are more substantial then the horse armor, they still weren't things like big expansion packs that offers a whole bunch of content. Like all the three DLCs I mentioned could have been one major expansion pack for Halo 2 alone for example. The point being we were already selling off smaller scale content.

At least those actually had content worth playing and not just a costume. Ninja Gaiden/Black gave dlc for free. Your point still stands, but horse armor truly opened the floodgate for so much worse.

I'd argue horse armor stands out for another reason. Horse armor wasn't just a costume, it was a function. It did exactly what it said, protected your horse. You see, one of the biggest complaints with Oblivion on launch was how fragile horses were.

In other words, not only was the Horse Armor DLC overpriced, it was selling a solution to a problem that the developers had created.

She does mention this in the video too. I had not forgotten but was just making a point.

LITERALLY letting people starve.

Basically, the USDA not only said contingency funds can't be used to fund SNAP benefits lost due to the shutdown, but that any states that find another way to cover SNAP expenses will not be reimbursed.
From your article, we've got Trump using executive authority to move funds around to feed children because Democrats refuse to extend literally the exact budget they agreed was acceptable during Biden's term.
