Regarding Zelda movie;

Do I think her being an apparent archer is bad? I don't mind. As long as it isn't her only ability.

Do I think she could've shown to be any other fantasy role archetype? Yes. Zelda has shown to be keen on spells and magic. In fact, I always considered her to be a spellblade/battle mage, where she's a caster first, then a fighter second.

We will all need to wait and see what she actually does. I am just hoping it's at least decent. Nintendo has shown they work with movie productions to make good live-action film, like Detective Pikachu.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
Well I mean they post pictures online to get people talking about it, so mission accomplished.

I personally don't care, I stopped going to the movies years ago when the vast majority of releases started being garbage, and to this day there has never been a good video game movie, and this will be no exception. I wonder if Uwe Bowl is directing.
So you've never been to the movies? Oh thats so sad.

Waiting until they find out that drawing such a bow takes some serious upper body and arm muscles to do.

A woman could never!
Depending on the bow it does take a lot of upper body strength. She should be a sword user. But, the bows in Zelda games certainly aren't like 150lbs warbows, especially if you can fire them from horseback. In fact, it really does look like all the bows in Zelda games have a rather low draw weight considering how far the arrows travel and how long you can keep them held.

She is upright and alert, and he is sitting casually almost in an uncaring and relaxed way. He isn't scouting shit, you are projecting, he is stilling there uselessly ESPECIALLY if the intent is that an action scene happens right after this, which it might or might not, who knows. He doesn't even look armed in the photo. Where's the sword, or any weapon whatsoever on him?

Look it's all projection based off a single image, but I don't really see the reason why you and others jump on me and Zeke because we express a negative opinion about something you clearly think is good. Are we not entitled to dislike the thing just as much as you're entitled to like it? Can't we simply disagree without being insulting? I havent' shit talked your opinions, so I dont understand why you have to bash ours.
You have written a whole fanfic over one single image from a movie. Holy crap, even shippers want more then one image when shipping characters except for the lulz.

I saw F1 in theaters, but most theaters in my area have gone out of business because people aren't bothering to go....I can't imagine why.
No, you said you stopped going when the majority of movies started being bad, meaning you never went to the movies since the majority of movies were always bad.

Personally, I am doubting the live-action is even gonna be that good.

Nooo, Sony! I want to play FF7 remake part 3 on my PC! And what about Ghost of Yotei, or the next God of War?

If it's any consolation, IMO you guys are doing much better job at this compared to MS!
I still wanted Sony to do a three volume classic games collection on PC from the PS1_3 eras.

Read my post again and point out where I said Zelda NEVER did these things.
That isn't for you, that's for Zeke. You at least have some degree of analysis in how you came to the points you came to, even if I don't really agree with them. I write one-sentence, low-nuance posts for Zeke when I bother replying to him at all because that's all he ever writes, so I assume it's all he can read. That isn't just me being mean, either; the last time I wrote a long-form post in response to one of his, he just pretended that I didn't write anything at all and told me so to my face when I called him out on it.

I can deal with people I disagree with if they can at least justify their positions. Just that TBM already described most of my thoughts on the topic, so at this point throwing in anything else wouldn't contribute much. I apologize if I gave off the impression I was attacking you, though, that wasn't my intent but I can see it being the effect.

ETA: Okay the bit about Sonic 3 was probably overdoing it. It's not a defense as such but I do tend to get in a 'fuck everybody' mood sometimes, especially if I've been talking to Zeke recently. I do think the Sonic movie trilogy was really good, though.

An indie dev has voluntarily pulled from TGA category:

While I applaud their willingness to uphold integrity and not betray their self-consciousness, I really hope it is not also one of those "holier than thou" publicity stunts.
“I’m withdrawing from The Game Awards,” they wrote. “It’s an honor and a dream for Megabonk to be nominated for TGA, but unfortunately, I don’t think it qualifies for the category ‘Debut Indie Game’.”

They added: “I’ve made games in the past under different studio names, so Megabonk is not my debut game”.

At the time of publication, Megabonk is still listed as a Best Debut Indie Game nominee on The Game Awards website. Organisers say the category is for “recognizing an independent studio that produced and shipped its first game in 2025”.

Seems pretty humble and forthright in my book. TGA should acknowledge their error and respect Venidad’s wishes.

Update for Jurassic Park: Survival! Well it's more on who the MC is. Honestly, it still looks great compared to the reveal trailer a few years back.

And I get the feeling we will see those morons who will trying to cancel this game, because of the female MC. (You know, those who threw shades at Yotei and Witcher 4). Even more so due to her being part-Indian.

Fine by me, because we will only have sane people who can enjoy the game for the experience.
