I can absolutely believe this, and that the biggest "victim" that he's thinking about that needs protecting is Donald Trump.

I don't think it even needs real victimisation: protecting the president's reputation is enough.

Trump does not accept the doctrine of independence of the DoJ; the Department of Justice is under the control of the President, therefore the only justification and logic the DoJ needs is "What the president wants", and that is also de facto legal (whilst officers of the Executive other than the president can break the law in the course of their duties, the president can also pardon them). To all intents and purposes, the DoJ being able to redact documents which may incriminate the president is like allowing a defendant to be judge over his own trial.

As we've seen with Shapiro, MAGA has no use for him anymore and realized this. Hence why he's on the "good side" now. Minaj I always saw as somewhat at a dumbass, but I never though she would sink this low, nor suspect her sucking the genitals of bitches in boxstands.
