Neat shift from "you" (i.e. the UK) to "around the world".Not really, no.
Crimea had some amount. Which is one reason Russia was absolutely not willing to let the United States take them by overthrowing the elected government of Ukraine with street violence. The Sevastopol garrison is legacy of the Soviet Union's and now Russia's Black Sea Fleet, hardly comparable to the several hundred military bases the United States has around the world.
The US has about 11k personnel at most, spread over ~15 bases in the UK. In 2014, Russia had 25-30k soldiers in Ukraine over 16-18 bases.
No; i'm merely cognisant of the fact that the US demanded we do a lot more, including direct military engagement, and we refused. Odd for a country under complete control of Washington.Your government is directly involved in the war effort against Iran. It has participated in air defense for israel and lets the United States launch from its airfields to bomb Iranian targets. It also continually does reconnaissance flights over Gaza and Lebanon without any particular fanfare (presumably to guide israeli targeting, but your government isn't exactly forthcoming about what they're doing). Are you confused?
The rest is the usual waffle.
