I really don't care about the fan service for these games. The combat looks to be a much better improvement, and if they can ditch the open world, and dull characters, I might consider it. I know eve is not the main protagonist, and they got a completely new character you are playing as. I can live with that, because Eve is pretty dull and uninteresting. I do both a cyberpunk, aesthetics, and it's very ghost in the shell style. The setting I already find more interesting in the first game. I just really hope it's a chapter based and just keep it linear with open ended levels, if they need be.

That and how they deal with the whole... this.

That line is not even gonna exist at all. Especially when crossdressing isn't used as an insult a majority of the time anymore, and after everything Capcom did with Poison and keeping a fan favorite, they're not going back to that type of writing.

Not there at the start of that shot, so I'm thinking its a rendering artefact. They like their goonbait, but a vagina on a naked junior idol is out of the question. That risks an AO rating.
Wait, that's the same character!? They're not two different...- oh God! 😩

No, no, silly! Get your mind out of the gutter. That's where she inserts the fuel rods that power her suit. You should be ashamed!
Yes, that's where she puts the long, hard fuel rods ready to spray their seed fuel into her waiting womb reactor.

I'M NOT A FREAK, SHE'S REALLY A 600-YEAR-OLD ANDROID! IT'S ALL LEGAL!

The biggest news from the Summer Gaems Fest for me is the reveal of 1666 Amsterdam.

This game is like 15 years in the making and I never thought we'd see this day.

I'll try to summarize what I remember about this whole debacle but basically it revolves around yet another instance of Ubisoft fuckery.

Patrice Desilets was the lead creative director of the first three Assassin's Creed games and the beloved Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (in fact, AssCreed was originally conceived as a Persia spinoff). Now if you know me you know how much I revere the first two AssCreeds. He left Ubisoft, went to work for another studio where he started 1666 Amsterdam to continue with his whole historical fiction thing. But then that studio went bust, Ubisoft bought it, fired Desilets, and kept the rights to 1666.

Desilets created a new studio and released this game called Ancestors: the Humankind Odyssey which got a middling reception. The game had and interesting concept but looked boring af, I never played it. Well turns out that he won a legal battle to reclaim 1666 and now it's actually happening! And apparently you play as a witch- hell yes, I love me a witch.

The worst part about what Ubisoft did, and I'm only saying this to show just how not-exaggerated it is to say that Ubisoft was actively trying to screw him over, is that after he left Ubisoft, they didn't cancel 1666 Amsterdam. You see, if they actually CANCELLED it, the rights would have automatically reverted back to Patrice. So, they just suspended development indefinitely.
