The ultimate goal was that Gates wanted a computer in every living room. Maybe with better leadership that vision could’ve been better realized.
Watch, the next Fallout and ES will be lackluster, delayed, a mess, etc. at release. A lot of the people being laid off could’ve been moved to one of these projects to help. Problem is, again, neither likely has a director who knows what the hell they’re doing, or is having meaningful communication with the decision makers.

My point wasn't that MS were the good guys or some kewl gamurs. My point was that once, they may have seen Xbox as more of a loss-leader branding exercise. Hence my Apple and Amazon comparison. All these companies can eat my shit.

When I come back from my vacation next month I'm gonna join and use it. Lately I see a lot of games where I'm like "I want to play that but not at $70." Their cheapest subscription model is $13.50/mo for one game at a time, which is how I normally game anyway.

They never left and are still doing great. I bought a used game from them a couple months ago. I had traded in Lost Soul Aside at one point at gamestop, and then bought a used copy from GF that had everything in it for $30.

Yes. They took out of Halo Infinite, claiming it was "impossible", but all that was needed were two lines of code and hackers were able to split screen co-op for the PC and Series X version.
This is a really hollow victory for Nintendo.
