Considering live-action One Piece turned out great, the same can be possible for Persona. I have no interest, because I am not a fan of the franchise in general.

I don't know if the man who famously tells stories with as little dialogue as possible is the right fit for Howard's stories. Or the modern Hanna-Barbera style.

Let's take a franchise famous and beloved for its stylish anime visuals and turn it into a NETFLIX live-action show...
A live-action tv adaptation of a Japanese video game franchise headed by a western creative.

I have been informed that Conan wore earrings in artwork. I don't know the comics, but he never wore degenerate earrings in Howard's stories, and this is based on one of his stories.
Have to also say that it's lame they're starting with "Queen of the Black Coast" or that the series will just be that, since the love interest in that is unique: the only tragic (female) loss for him. I want a Conan adaptation that is more representative of what the original series generally was. Short stories with different girls in every one, Bond style, and other times just men.

Conan wore earrings in Frazetta's paintings. I like Frazetta, but it seems he was pretty revisionist with Conan. Howard's world was more civilized and medieval than Frazetta's artwork. Howard's stories were about the barbarian rejecting the sophistry, guile cruelty and weakness of civilization. His Conan lived among civilization and so was usually clothed in much more than a loincloth. The Cimmerian was practical and did not care about adornment, except when he used it to his advantage, like in "The Treasure of Tranicos," where he wanted his enemies to know that he knew the location of the treasure. Anyway, there's less of a point to Howard's central theme if the whole world looks ancient and barbarian.
I doubt we'll ever get the true Conan in television or films. As much as I like him, Tartakovsky doesn't seem to get it either. Or he doesn't care.

Getting a true adaptation of something written 100 years ago is not common, especially with Howard's many issues and shortcomings as a writer. Which is a shame, if you are going to do Conan, do Conan . If you don't want to do Conan, do an original character that resembles Conan in some ways.
