Recently he said Watergate was not that big and that these days the US has a Watergate every week. He is right that retroactively Watergate really was small potatoes compared to the Trump administration gleefully jumping at every chance to be corrupt and even trying to overturn a US election to illegally remain in power. It shows the rot and decay in the Republican party or even the US as a whole.
Trump is the best thing that ever happened to Nixon in terms of reputation because now Trump is the posterboy of the extremely corrupt president , and in ways that make Nixon look like a boyscout.

I am not actually because he is not popularly defined as such. It is Nixon who went in the history books as a crook.

First thing that comes to mind with Lyndon Johnson for me is that he apparently liked to "whip it out" during meetings. Which is, you know, not great behavior, but not exactly a sign of corruption on the level of Watergate or the Teapot Scandal.

Johnson ordered intelligence to spy on the Goldwater campaign and successfully covered it up. Nixon did not order spying, but had one of the men who did that for Johnson on his team, who voluntarily tried spying on Nixons opponents, was caught, and Nixon was taken down for trying to cover it up.
It's a funny quirk of history and public opinion that those who do the most coverups get away with it, and those who either don't try or try poorly to cover something up get associated with coverups instead. Johnson was 1000x the corruption of Nixon.

LBJ being corrupt or not wasn't the point. Just that he is not commonly perceived has the posterboy of presidential corruption due to barely being perceived at all.
I am reading the argument, I'm just doing my part to fix it. The more the truth of LBJ is spread, the more he'll be associated with corruption.
Johnson drafted soldiers for Vietnam, Nixon pulled the US out, yet Nixon gets associated with that war.
Johnson criminalized certain war protests and ordered mass arrests of demonstrators, yet Nixon gets associated with Kent State without any direct involvement.
Johnson spied on everyone, taped the conversations from the White House, and wire tapped his opposition, yet Nixon is the one associated with wire tapping and recording.
If you've never recognized the disparity in how the parties are considered by the media and academia, the chasm between the treatment of Johnson and Nixon should convince you.

When Weinstein fell it was actually kind of a shock to see our elites, artistically or politically be raping assholes. Accusations, catching in the act and punishment were always there but the idea that it was a very recurring thing and even part of the system was legitimately shocking. It had also been before the anti woke had rallied behind the holy right of people to rape as long as they were on their side or could be used to set back woman's rights. There was both a public shock and no safety rail to protect Weinstein from his misdeeds.
But now? Now the public is largely desensitized to the situation and the far right has even decided that it is glorious and that the rapists should be protected at all cost. That they should be elevated even. The elites have also realized they can indeed weather the storm rather easily so there is no need for scapegoats or bones thrown to the public.
Had Weinstein been caught only a few years later then the elites and the far right, or even just normal right wing media system would have rallied around him, and political friends would have protected him. Had he just been a good boy and waited with getting caught his life would not be ruined.

Though I would argue that it wasn't shocking per se that it was a recurring problem, people have been pointing this out since forever, it was just something society had agreed to turn away from, though it did pretend to be shocked when it couldn't anymore.
