BBBUUUTTTT This is also right after the mass layoffs, so I am conflicted on my stance on Xbox
Don't buy it, if it bothers you a lot. I have no interest after everything they've done. I won't judge anyone, but there are my own standards and code I like to uphold.

The duality of Xbox, I swear to god.

I mean objectively speaking this is a great news, because I would love to play some more Xbox classic games that are not available on PC. God, I would kill to play Star Wars Episode 3 The Video Game again.

Whatever, just wash your hands.

Technically there are 2 games. The windows games and the xbox ones are super different. The windows game is more of a simulation flying game, but the xbox is an arcade multi game. Still surprising it didn't become more of an IP, I think the multi focus was a mistake.

PSN is down for the nth time. And they still want people to adapt going digital-only games lol

Granted, shutdowns and DDOS attacks like these are temporary, but it's the fact that users are expected to trust such a shitty platform. And who knows how many more attacks will there be in the future?

.....Actually, I think I support the hackers groups nowadays. They help to make more people realize on why digital-only games are so terrible.

It's good thing a majority of the games I play are either physical, or are not tied to a server of any kind.

PS6 is going to beyond a shit show, and I can't wait to see this fuckers crawl on their knees.

If it’s hackers, serves Sony right for having such a shitty memory of trying to fuck with their supporters.

Seriously did not expect Laufey to come out that quickly - Within 9 months of its announcement? Though this is making me think maybe the game will be a rather small spin-off (february 'n all), but then that might be for the best considering how Ragnarok was bloated all to hell. Focus more on linear action-adventure and ditch the bland semi-open-world levels and faux RPG mechanics. I hope that's what they're doing at least. I mean, they've probably been working on this game since Ragnarok, which released in 2022, so... it might still be full with content paste. *sigh*

Considering they addressed pretty much zero of people's criticisms of GoW 2018 with the RPG and open world stuff in Ragnarok, I really don't expect anything different here. Maybe the open world stuff will be reigned in a little? But the pointless gear stuff I think is here to stay.

I don't think there were many complaints about GoW'18 's world, because it kept its eye on the ball. But then I don't know if there were complaints about Ragnarok from the fanbase other than the Marvel-y dialoge.

But what Ragnarok suffered from is kinda the same thing Horizon: Forbidden West did. In the PS3 era Sony felt the need to push multiplayer modes in singleplayer games for the "bang for your buck" complaints regarding games like Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and God of War 3, which would span about 8 hours. Then with the PS4 multiplayer modes kinda fell to the wayside, so that's when their (linear )singleplayer games started to really expand in size just to show audiences 'look, these are big games with plenty of stuff to do'. And Ragnarok and Forbidden West feel like they blindly followed that formula to a ridiculous degree.

But that would cost money! And all the money is supposed to go to executives and shareholders!
Seriously, you'd think they would invest more in making their platform more secure if they want people going all-digital that badly.

But no, it's gonna be spent on developing copy-paste live-service games and developing all those unnecessary accessories and extra stuff, like a whole-ass TV

As far as I'm aware they outsourced large parts of their network to industry leaders such as Amazon Web Services.
