Sony does make games, you just don't like them. Some of their games, I don't like or care for neither, but the games they make for the most part are games. Unless we're talking the Order 1886 or anything by David Cage.Sony makes movies

You see, I'm not so sure. Microsoft really advanced the console industry forward by improving the online multiplayer space, putting console games on steam, and putting resources into mobile gaming. With nintendo putting their IP on the mobile market, and charging for online multiplayer in order to improve their online storefront, it feels like their following in Microsofts tracks. I think it will take time, and they'll probably never fully catch up, but I think this shows a positive change in the way Nintendo runs their business. They've always been a little bit out of touch in terms of their online functionality, and learning from microsoft could provide them with the inspiration they need to improve as a gaming company.Microsoft makes ads

Shadow of the Colossus, Bloodborne, and The Last Guardian would beg to differ. Sony have already long realized the potential of video games as an art form and have backed titles that take advantage of the format to create unique, boundary-pushing experiences. I enjoyed playing A Link to the Past when I was young, but Nintendo have evolved and innovated little since then, instead content to rely on safe reiterations of their classic IPs to remain financially afloat.Sony makes movies

It's the new :3The fact that you can only come up with a laugh reaction proves my point.
I'll agree with that. I think Microsoft innovated the landscape in terms of technical profficiency, and sony innovated artistically. Would we have gotten a Dark Souls without a Demons Souls? Unlikely. In a way, they've really helped shape the landscape.Shadow of the Colossus, Bloodborne, and The Last Guardian would beg to differ. how is :3 a laugh face? It's the new :3
Edit: Yup, saw that coming
Interestingly enough, Xbox will not have anyone come to their defense until they get back to actually making games. The Xbox One has been the joke of this console generation as Microsoft has produced nothing but turds almost exclusively since launching the console. With only a couple of titles over the course of the entire generation garnering any sort of Critical success.actually i just find it funny that i don't even to say anything else before you people will start throwing personal insults towards me. and also find it funny how the escapist has labelled myself as the "Nintendo Defense force" in the past. and yet, here you all are rushing defend your precious Sony. what about Xbox? where's their defense?
Xbox has Halo and Gears of War. they're old franchise's that are a bit stale, but they're still good gamesInterestingly enough, Xbox will not have anyone come to their defense until they get back to actually making games. i never said i was surprised about people mocking me.Also I don't know why you act surprised when people mock you. Your responses to almost any thread can be boiled down into a core foundation of "Nintendo good, everyone else bad". Much in the way nobody in surprised with B-Cell makes a "Greatest FPS of all time #23" thread. We've all seen this episode before and it's always a rerun.
Just like Nintendo's 1st party output...We've all seen this episode before and it's always a rerun.
I quite liked Microsoft this generation. Ori and Cuphead were the two best platformers of the generation.Xbox has Halo and Gears of War. they're old franchise's that are a bit stale, but they're still good games
Xbox also makes the new Ori series with Ori and the blind forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps both being great games

this thread is just evidence of the "Sony Defense Force!"
wow!Just like Nintendo's 1st party output...
not at all like your history of liking stuff when there's a fresh "Sony Playstation" stamp on the box?I'm just pointing out you have a history of liking stuff (that's been around for awhile) when there's a fresh new "Nintendo" stamped on the box.
Sony because they release the most varied library of games along with having the most new IPs.
Well also they shot their own console in the foot by putting all their exclusives on PC, thus removing a lot of the reason to own a Xbox in the first place. While not everyone would have a gaming PC, most people would still look and go, "Well I can ONLY get these games on PS4, but these other games are also on computer too." and thus even if they wouldn't play on PC the mentality of knowing that the games are available in other places, has clearly swayed people.I quite liked Microsoft this generation. i've only played a little bit of Ori and the Blind forest. haven't finished it yet but i loved what i have played and bought the collectors edition of Will of the Wisps because i liked the first Ori so much. haven't played Cuphead at all yet though.I quite liked Microsoft this generation. Ah.... I see you are a man of refined taste buds, brother. Nothing beats drinking good coffee in a war-torn shisha parlour! My favourite type of coffee is Greek. I don't like that crappy 'espresso' and 'blend' shit that westerners need to sustain their impotence. I want it made in an ibrik by a 60 year old Armenian with the aroma of old cigarettes.
