I'd need to know the system to lawyer, but where there's a will, there's a way. I've known some excellent rules lawyers in my time. They do impressive work.

Luckily Call of Cthulhu has a system amenable to "very slight chances" since it's based on a 1d100, so there can be a literal 1% chance for something to succeed. I forget whether it has "critical" results on a 1 or not.
Exactly how would someone justify being able to know the mind and psychology of a Great Old One enough, a being that can't even concieve of such emotions on any level, biochemical or purely psychological in the first place and has no need to do so, to be able to manipulate him/her/it sexually? This is pure Fishmalk bullshit and I wouldn't allow the roll, period. Not sorry.
The system I use is CoC 6th ed. There is no Seduction or Sex Appeal skill there. The closest equivalent is Persuade.

Hi everyone. I just signed up for escapist plus and the forums because I'm going a bit crazy stuck at home. I figured this would be as good a place as any to start posting. My gaming group have postponed our 5e run through Saltmarsh, but we're still playing a homebrew sci-fi campaign with D&D 5e rules via roll20, and we've just added a Vampire game set in LA in 1945. I'm hoping the White Wolf games are a better fit for online play since we've been finding 5e pretty janky to transition and are at risk of losing some players.
Anyone remember hero quest? It was a fun game to play as a child and given the lockdown now would be a good time to play a boardgame. problem is trying to get hold of a copy as they stopped making it ages ago.
I was a teenager when I first played, and by then I was already well and truly familiar with Dungeons and Dragons and more complex RPG's, so maybe I didn't get as much out of it as some would. Nonetheless, I heartily recommend it if one can find a copy somewhere. It's good casual fun and has Game Workshop's usual level of presentation and production value.
I remember playing that around the same time as the D & D "basic" set was launched (the one in the long black box with the red dragon on the front). Hero Quest was a lot of fun. I remember really enjoying the miniatures. I wonder how much an intact box would go for today?
damn, I just checked. some are hundreds of dollars! I guess they are a collectible item now.
