I should have explained better.Kinda yes that was her point and that as said before the camps and chambers you have to push to dehumanise or legitimise attacks on certain groups. Like I dunno say pushing the idea of using Eugenics to weed remove said people from the gene pool etc......
In terms of why it matters.
Well the claim being pushed is "Gina was mean for no reason calling people out for things no-one did" when as the many, many screenshots the account I posted has compiled of many many more posters sending her threats and abuse. No Gina calling people out for being nasty to her wasn't due to 3 people or just a couple of people being nasty or as some are pushing the claim she did it for no reason other than to be mean. Gina has had month after month of this bullshit and seemingly unlike a lot of celebrities she was actually using social media and not paying some manager to do it for her so if she was checking her mentions yeh for the past year or more she's just been seeing floods of abuse pouring into her mentions so she called it out. Which then the people really hating her just used as ammo to try and frame her as mean and nasty and attacking minority communities.
Yes this is what happens on twitter but now it seems people are mad because Gina called it out to an extent and you're not allowed to do that, you can only complain about people being nasty to you if you're "Righteously fighting on the right side of history" or some nonsense like that.
The truth is being lost and instead it's just narratives about what happened and what went down and relying on people not checking or trying to suppress or ignore claims that contradict the narratives.
I'm asking why it mattered because this is what Twitter Does.
If we're talking about responses, we can talk about what John Boyega went through just for daring to be black in a Star Wars Film

Twitter trolls urge boycott of Star Wars over black character
The hashtag #BoycottStarWarsVII was trending after claims that casting John Boyega was ‘anti-white propaganda’ while Ava DuVernay called for positivity
They can't post some of the direct things they said, but I'm sure you can search for some of these tweets if you want. Some of them are found here, but it's a terrible day and I don't want to spend the rest of the day calming myself over some stupid racist stuff.
Kelly Marie Tran had her own issues with horrible trolls.
Daisy Ridley has been under the deluge of... shit, everything. That woman has been hounded every since she joined the Star Wars Universe.

Daisy Ridley has left Instagram. Why? Because a certain subset of vocal "fans" couldn't deal with her getting even remotely "political."

Daisy Ridley was left cold by ‘Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’ backlash
Daisy Ridley says the poor critical response to Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker left her cold.
Whether from a conservative places or a liberal place, hate is hate is hate. There is a lot to say about Posturing. If you're confrontational from the outset, a lot of people will take that as an aggressive stance and act that way from that point on. I don't really tweet, so I never followed her. From the first few tweets I've read from her, I've perceived a chip on the shoulder.
The problem is that's human nature. People can do things to rub others the wrong way. When you're literally exposing yourself to the world, you can either frame a conversation to get enough people to think about what you're saying and try to digest the information suitably... or you can shoot from the hip, not care about how you sound and then wonder why people respond to you aggressively in turn.
This forum is a perfect example. I have strong political opinions. I don't name call. I try my best not to denigrate or come off aggressive, even if challenged in such a manner. I feel my message is more important than the fleeting satisfaction of burning someone or owing an idea. I'm not insulting or aggressive to others, they aren't insulting or aggressive back. And those I do have a problem with, I ignore to the best of my ability.
I don't know Gina. I haven't seen more than three of her tweets. And in three tweets, as I said, I perceived that chip on the shoulder. If you jump in the deep end of twitter, I would expect a great deal of people who would perceive the same, but not as many that will form out their thoughts in a respectful manner as well.
