What is the BEST Final Fantasu?

The first FF game I ever played was Legend on the Game Boy, which I didn't find out until years later was just a rebranding of the SaGa series. As such, I hold it pretty highly, although I can certainly see some flaws in it nowadays. Going by the main series, I've played all of them from I...

Beyond Good & Evil - Not Picture Perfect

I got Beyond Good and Evil on PC back when it came out in 2003. A few years ago I decided to play it again and discovered the DRM on the CD didn't work with Windows 7. After an hour or two going through google trying to find a solution to the problem I stumbled across the DRM free version on...

Former PS3 Exclusive Valkyria Chronicles Coming to PC

Sweet! A game I've been wanting to play for the longest time, but couldn't because of the lack of a PS3. I shall finally be able to try it out.

No Right Answer: Greatest Console Blunder Ever

The Dreamcast was an awesome system that was years ahead of its time. It wasn't the blunder. The blunder was the Saturn that came before it. (And the Sega 32X before that, and the Sega CD before that....) After burning everyone with the previous 3 consoles, nobody trusted Sega hardware...

Report: Star Wars: Episode VII Villains to be Known as "Jedi Hunters"

There's already an episode VII, it's called Heir to the Empire [http://www.amazon.com/Heir-Empire-Star-Wars-Trilogy/dp/0553296124/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1403137357&sr=1-1&keywords=heir+to+the+empire], and it's got the best Star Wars villain ever in it. Unless the movie ends up being an...

    FFVIII on Steam

I played FFVIII 15 years ago on my PS1. Or at least, I played the first disc of it before quitting the game in disgust. I never have gotten around to playing the second disc.

Updated: Man Has $50,000 Twitter Stolen, Blames GoDaddy, PayPal

This sounds almost exactly like what happened to Mat Honan (of Wired Magazine) a year and a half ago. It was Apple rather then PayPal, but the basic hack was almost identical. http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2012/08/apple-amazon-mat-honan-hacking/

8 Best Board Games of 2013

Well, it came out in 2011, but the best game I played in 2013 was Risk: Legacy. It takes the most fun part of Risk (rolling the dice and attacking your friends), removes the worst part (the sheer length of the game; the first four games we played of Legacy only lasted about 30 minutes each)...

Final Fantasy VI Mobile Releases, Adds Typos

FFVI is my favorite game in the series, and is on my short list for best game of all time, period. There are only two changes to that masterpiece that I would even consider: 1. Fix the Realm bug so that she's actually a useable character. 2. Replace the horrid SNES MIDI music with an...

8 Old Board Games That are Still Good

Chess is a classic, always will be, and will never die. It totally deserves to be on the list. Monopoly though? Here's how every game of Monopoly I've ever played has ended up: One player manages to snag a color group though a series of lucky die rolls. He or she has enough cash to put down...

8 Old Board Games That are Still Good

The topic is old board games that are STILL GOOD. Monopoly isn't, and has never been, good. I'm surprised there wasn't a classic wargame or two on there though. Axis & Allies, perhaps, or even Risk. I'd probably choose Diplomacy myself, although that's probably a bit too far out there for...

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Writer Returns for Episode VII

What they should be doing is filming Heir to the Empire, to be followed by Dark Force Rising and The Last Command. The stories are already written, they're excellent, and Grand Admiral Thrawn is the best Star Wars villain of all time. Since there's no way in hell they're going to do that...

Hexproof Videos: Sealed Deck Challenge: A Promising Start

I actually outraced a turn 2 Rack Rats in a sealed game a week ago. on the play, I did turn 1 Rakdos Cackler unleashed, turn 2 Pursuit of Flight on it, attack for 4. He responded to my attack with his turn 2 Pack Rats, and from there I was basically swinging in the air for 4 every turn...

Developer Accused of Selling DLC to Cats

I don't see how this is even possible. Every single time I've ever used an in-app purchase on my iPad, I've had to type in my iTunes password before it'll let it go through. I really doubt cats can type in passwords, so how exactly is this happening?

Nintendo Applies For Baffling "Massively Single-Player" Patent

The first thing I thought of when reading that was Spore, and it's been done already in other games that people in this thread have mentioned. So yeah, I dont't think Nintendo is in any position to patent it.
