    If the road is nice and quiet ride on the road. If the footpath isn't to crowded, use the footpath. But be VERY careful around pedestrians. Especially small children. Use bike paths whenever possible. Treat other road users with respect. The advantage of a bike is it is a multi-terrain vehicle.
