    American Box Art Sucks

That's a good point, but you're all much closer together than we are. If you don't get a joke, you can shout out your window, "Oi! What they laughin for?" and someone will explain it to you. If Americans don't get a joke on TV, they just start writing letters. :)

    American Box Art Sucks

The thing about America is that it is fucking huge. When they brought over the Office, they had to change quite a bit about it before it would be palatable?not to An American Audience, but to an incredibly massive and varied one. Lowest Common Denominator doesn't mean that we're a pack of...

What games have you been playing the last 7 days (specifically those last 7 days that have past)

Back on inFamous. Somehow missed the "Good Finish" trophy the first time through. Plus I'm in "first installment" mode, knowing that your save file from game one will probably be used in most game twos. I've got Dragon Age: Origins up next, but that doesn't arrive for a couple days.

    Upgrading from ps2 to ps3

they all have pretty crappy BC. I got the 60 GB, that's out of production (check craigslist, look for backwards compatibility) but the graphics show up kind of crappy. It's all going to be software emulation anyway. There was a limited edition 80GB that had software BC, but I can't vouch for...

    Your best pick up line

If you're a guy, I got nothin'. But if you're a girl: "Do you want to make out." Seriously. My girlfriend said it to me, and we've been together 3 years now. I told another gal to say it to a guy she liked, and they're getting married next month. If it works, it works really, really well...

I am feeling alienated and offended by Bioware

I'm Minnesotan. So, if I work real hard and believe in myself, one day, I could grow up to be a Canadian :)

I am feeling alienated and offended by Bioware

It's an issue because if an entire generation of American films started taking place in a future where America had been annexed by Mexico, THAT would be an issue. It's an issue because if you think of video games as an art, then they have to be held to a higher standard. Art shouldn't be...

I am feeling alienated and offended by Bioware

Here: BioWare in specific and the Canadian games industry in general seems to be not be taking Canada seriously as a nation.

But I bet there are Finnish films about Finnish people having Finnish problems and solving them with Finnish solutions while speaking Finnish. Are video games art, or are they fiction or are they products? How seriously you take the medium as an art form should be right up there with how much...

I am feeling alienated and offended by Bioware

Oh, no no no. I totally agree with your point (I think). I'm saying that I, and I assume most people outside of Canada, don't know what Canadian cultural identity is. So it gets glossed over a lot. The motivation to just sell more shit overrides national pride, but if we're supposed to get...

No. Bad. Nationalism starts wars, but it also builds economies, encourages education and is the center of civilization. To modify a phrase, Don't throw the country out with the cunts.

You don't know what you're talking about. Canada is a nation.

ha ha. "Five people I know don't mind that Canada has no clear national identity, so you must just be a whiny *****" The only thing worse than having a weakly defined culture is having other people get that culture totally wrong.
