Games you love, but no one else seems to know about or remember.

I liked this game because it was kinda like homeworld + FTL in that you had to manage energy levels. My only grip about it is the fact that sometimes it felt like the ships weren't shooting the weapons I wanted them to shoot with. In a game where some weapons only damaged shields and some only...

    What's the Beef With Origin?

I agree with the 'Things I don't like about Origin' list. I didn't realize how crappy Origin was until last night. Before then, I just launched games like BF3 from their own launcher, and of course, Origin would start, but I didn't really have to deal with it. Then last night I tried to buy...

    Foods you hate/don't enjoy

They taste really gamey to me sometimes (even in relatively high end restaurants), and I don't really enjoy that flavor. I personally have a hard time eating most crustaceans and other seafood like squid, octopus more because they seem icky to me. When you deep fry them in batter, than I can...

Poll: If youtube went to a pay model, would you pay?

I think I watch enough videos that if I paid a small fee on a yearly basis to not watch any ads, it would be worth it, like $5/year to not see any ads. If it's much more than that I think I would balk at the fee. Same logic I applied to the escapist, I guess.

Spec Ops: The Line;I now have PTSD.

No, you're not the only one. I can understand the people who say they don't feel bad for decision the game basically made you make, but the reason why the game worked for me was that, like you, I would've made the same decisions even if the game had made me choose. Because, like you, I...

Indie Developer Tries to Salvage Homeworld From THQ

...is this company for serious? Like are they a legit development team? Cuz I am about to give them all my money.

Poll: Why not use benchmark tests instead of demos?

I had the same thought, since upgrading to a home-built desktop. But I remember the days of laptop gaming, when I would never know if I could run any of the latest games, and I wonder if this benchmark idea would help those people out.

SimCity 4 Affected My View on Social Policy

Ah yeah, I did sound like that. To clarify, the game made me think that state run health care should be the norm. Interestingly, the game seem to make it only possible if you adopt a non-sensical tax structure.

SimCity 4 Affected My View on Social Policy

Maybe it was just me, but did anyone else who played the SimCity games get into thinking that healthcare was a state funded institution? Because in the game, you, as the government of the city, are charged with providing fully funded healthcare to your citizens. It was only years after, late...

    Greenlight Redlight

Wouldn't verb craft be a 3D Voxel first person version of scribblenaughts? I don't know why I thought of that first though.

How do you take being beat by a girl On games?

Once my friend and I ran into a player on Halo Reach with a gamertag of PrincessTwilight or something. In addition, his/her voice sounded very feminine. Then we jumped into the game and, it turns out, she was really really good, so the entire game was running away from her unless we had a...

    Most anticipated game 2013

I'm really looking forward to the new SimCity. I'm excited enough to pay full pre order price for it, which is fairly rare.

Old Games you remember playing but can't remember the name of.

There was this game called Quest 64 where you were this kid who was a wizard and the game's magic system was based on elements. The bosses even had the types you listed, in that order.

Make One Slight Change to A Game, Make it 1000X More Awesome

I love both games (Crusader Kings 2 and the Total War games), but wouldn't trying to put both games into one game slow the game down into something that would take weeks to play? I've played both games for hours and it takes me like 60+ hours to get anywhere, and it would seem like some...

    Assassin's Creed III: Liberation Review

Well holy hell, that looks awesome, thanks. Hope to see them in person, but since I live in the US, I'll have to keep my fingers crossed.
