Miyamoto Shows Off The Legend of Zelda, Discusses Starfox at Game Awards

Well, say what you want about Nintendo's business. But when they want to be heard, it's impossible not to listen. I've expressed most of my excitement on other sites already, so I think I'll just copy/paste my thoughts here. Bear in mind, much of it is just rambling without too much thought...

The Agent Carter Teaser Does Not Suck

"The uploader has not made this video available in your country." This is always especially irritating to me because I live within walking distance of the Canada/US border. I could take my bike out for a day trip to the States and be home by supper, but apparently that's not close enough >_<

Let's discuss the Smash Bros. demo!

I've been loving it so far. The only problem I'm having is that I'm too used to having a large, central A button, so I often end up punching when I want to jump and using a special attack when I want to punch.

    Watch_Dogs and rape -no spoilers-

I remember a while ago there was an article from Ubisoft saying that Watch_Dogs was intended to incorporate complex morality; i.e. the player will be met with events in the world, their responses to which will be "off the books", so to speak. To me, this kind of thing just reinforces that...

Games where the rain just made you go..."Huh."

I'd say the rain in Xenoblade Chronicles. If only because I find it astonishing that Monolithsoft managed to fit such a massive world on the Wii, and then have some pretty good looking dynamic weather systems on top of that. I also liked Chapter 10 of Fire Emblem Awakening (though I haven't...

    A Rant About Spoilers

I see what you're saying here. A big enough plot twist, intentionally or not, is going to get people talking, and they can't be expected not to just because someone somewhere didn't see it yet. Not only is it damn near impossible, it's a ridiculous thing to ask and it kills the buzz somewhat...

A Game Feature You Never Bothered With.

Grenades. Whenever there are grenades, I will forget about them until I realize I'm carrying enough of them to blow up a small country. At this point I'll throw precisely one and the cycle begins anew. For a while in Bioshock Infinite, I didn't think to use vigors. Not because they weren't...

Report: NSA Knew of, And Exploited, Heartbleed Bug for Two Years

Except the 'S' in "NSA" is supposed to stand for Security. In this case, for every piece of questionable content they could monitor by exploiting the bug, there could be a few hundred more pieces of private information going out. This doesn't seem so much like "gathering intelligence" as...

    Angels in Videogames: Need help

Would the Herons from Fire Emblem would count? They're not specifically called angels in the context of the game, but considering the Heron clan's visual design, serene nature, and references to a "Fallen Angel" of sorts that can be made for Rafiel and Reyson (Rafiel's bad wings, Reyson's...

What game or series would you love to play again for the first time?

Probably the original 3 Spyro games or 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors. Spyro's a pretty easy one. It was one of, if not my very first game, and the colour and life in the worlds and characters are too charming to pass up. 999 is up there for a completely different reason. The pull there is...

What game are you bad at yet you love it?

Fire Emblem. Great stories, good characters. If only I knew how to strategize. I always seem to hit a point in the games where I can't quite break through. Sometimes it's a little over halfway through, other times I get right up to the last chapter before I just have to call it a day.
