    What if We Leveled Backwards?!

There was a game called Blood Will Tell that was supposed to do that. You start of with all of your body parts replaced by weapons, and fight to regain your human parts back. As you progress, you lose weapons and skills bit by bit. Wanted to play it, but could never find it.

    Good games for old PCs

Torchlight just came out. It's a new game, but the requirements are low. As in windows 2000 low. Giantbomb has a quick look up if you want to see what it looks like.

Poll: Zero Punctuation: Do his words matter?

I try to budget my gaming, so along with other sources, his opinion holds some weight. I don't think it's right to take his word as gospel, nor do I think people should dismiss it outright. It's designed to be humorous, but it's as valid a review as any other.

Jack Thompson Threatens NIU With Lawsuit

Jack Thompson isn't a district attorney; he's a douche. He has no authority to initiate a criminal investigation. That falls under either the state or federal judicial system, neither of which he is a part of.

    Should I fear Steam?

I personally have a great affinity for steam. It's everything that Games for Windows Live aspires to be, and it offers services that Microsoft wants to charge 50 bucks a month for at no cost.

So, when will Ps3/360 NOT be called Next-gen?

Maybe they'll drop the moniker once the PS3 starts making more money than the PS2. And I think the PSP can do some pretty awesome things. Granted, most of it is stuff that Sony hadn't intended, but really I don't care what they want anymore because they're still power-drunk from the success...

Need to find some mentally-challenging internet games.

I think maybe Synesthete would be perfect. There's footage of it on youtube. You'll have to download the game, but it's free.

    Zero Punctuation: Crysis

No, but I attribute it to my not being able to see the future.

    How would you improve RPGs?

I think that the best (and usually most difficult) route to take is to put more choices in the hands of the players. Especially with JRPGs, you can't go through a door until you give a guy the magical whatzit, or collect x of y, or whatever. How 'bout I just kick the damn door in and do what I...

    Scariest Moment In A Game

Fatal Frame, pretty much all of the time. In the first one, I was near a reflecting pool when a ghost came down from a tree and killed me. I stopped playing immediately afterward. Although I've played the sequels which unnerved me as well, I'm not sure if I've ever turned on the first one again.

Looking for a well written story

I'm sort of interested in this game, but how Anne Rice is it. I tried to read Lestat in the past, and it was one of the only books I couldn't get through. I enjoyed the general concept, but the execution was rambling and pretentious.

    Zero Punctuation: Silent Hill Origins

"Press X to Nurby Durby Durr". That gave me a few laughs throughout the rest of the review.

Virtua Fighter 5 and other fighting games.

My best friend is really good with Dan, but he used to play in tournaments. He got good with that character for the specific purpose of humiliating other players.

    Tekken 6 info (spoilers)

I don't know how many people here are fighting game enthusiasts, but I definitely am. So after playing Tekken 6 a few times, I wanted to share everything I knew, since I'd never even heard a whisper of it anywhere else. I'll start of with what I know of the story, which isn't very much. In...

    Tom Brokaw Calls Videogames "Cancerous"

I don't know how many Michael Moore fans are in the building (probably not many), but back before he was well known, he did a documentary called Bowling for Columbine. It posed that the strongest link to violence of this sort was the media, specifically the news. Sensationalist scaremongers.
