Same as you, pretty much. Although I'd go further to say that in my (selfish) opinion, it should've ended after the second one. Modern Warfare wasn't all that interesting and CoD 3 wasn't for PC. Also, Final Fantasy, but I don't care about that all that much anymore.
A mod is basically a cheat, only possibly more fun. You can do stuff with them and stuff... For example [http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?id=41&view=Articles.Detail]
EDIT: Also, this [http://www.nehrim.de/indexEV.html]
The only reason I see to do that is if it's the only way I can play it or it's the only platform that supports 3D. Even if I have to miss out for like a week, I'm not going to play Skyrim on a handheld gaming device while unable to play it on my computer (like when I'm on a vacation).
I made a waterfall with some help from friends. I think I did at least 3/4 of it. Note that while we did use cheats to get glass and building materials, digging the thing was still a pain. And it's not as awesome as some other waterfalls I've seen, but still. Might get a video or pictures up soon.
I sort of liked the map that came with Oblivion. I don't remember how much the whole thing cost, but I could still boast with it. Now, though, I know that games in retailers here tend to cost around ~70 euros, while on Steam they are 50. I'm buying all the games from Steam or online now becouse...
Would you know the stuff about Red Dead Redemption and FF? Becouse I didn't get 100% just becouse of the RDR one. And I haven't played any of the Final Fantasies (didn't guess the classes either).
