Trying to remember the name of a game.

Mr. Alligator, you have my thanks, and eternal love. Shadow Grounds.

Trying to remember the name of a game.

The mod is more recent, and the game I played was strictly single player, this one is 4 players minimum, even the "Offline Practice" mode has three 'bots'. Uhm... there were... aliens =S (now how's THAT for specific? lol). One of the screenshots looked kinda close, but thanks for the...

Trying to remember the name of a game.

(heh, that rhymed) Anyways, having downloaded Alien Swarm off Steam, I was reminded of a game I played a few years ago in the same style, but single player. It's been a while, and I only played through it once, but I do remember it was made by a German company, it looked almost exactly...

    Your claim to fame.

Uhm, I know Björk's son, and have met her a couple of times. Also, my mom's brother is (or maybe was, not sure) manager to Emiliana Torrini (Gollum's song), Quarashi (Stick'em up is their most famous song in the U.S.) and Páll Óskar (of Eurovision fame). My mom also used to teach a few of the...

Best thing your country ever did.

Uh... first female president, first openly gay prime minister (who also happens to be female)... oh, and we "defeated" the Brits in a "war" that one time, despite only having two ships with guns on them(one might call it the 'japanese method'). I'm from Iceland, by the way.

Roger Ebert still maintains that video games can't be art.

I have to say that I agree with Mr. Ebert, but the reason I do is because I say games cannot be art because they are interactive. They can contain art, and be artistically designed, but because they are interactive, they are, in fact, MORE than art.

    What are you reading...?

Currently rereading Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash, and looking forward to rereading China Miéville's King Rat... mostly because I'm too broke to buy new books and I cant' seem to find more books at my local library that interest me.

    Help me out Escapist !!

Am I the only one who thought he was gonna record videos of himself in the shower reviewing games halfway into the post? OT : I would like to quote a great athlete, and just leave it at that. "I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying." -Michael Jordan

Do you respect your country's flag?

Here in Iceland we have very strict laws about our flag. There's a specific way to fold it, specific days it must be up if you own one, on certain days you're not allowed to have one up, and other days it must be halfway up the flagpole. It is illegal to have a flag up after sunset, and if a...

Ben's quest to find the oldest person on the escapist.

Despite the low post count (3, last I checked(a couple of minutes ago), two of which are in this thread), I can say with some certainty that Pneuvo [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/pneuvo] is the oldest I've seen on the Escapist. Dude'll be hitting 58 in a month and a half! On...

    Best commercial I've ever seen

I loved that movie! Not just the style, but the story. It also had an impact on me, personally. Plus, the music was great.

    Best commercial I've ever seen

Pretty cool ad, I agree, the embrace was really what made it was it is. Here's a few of my favourites from Iceland. This one's about drinking and driving, obviously. I like it mainly because of the colours and the "plot twist" at the beginning. Entitled "Where is your stopping point"...

    Poll: Your Favourite Batman Joker?

it's supposed to be " [img] " and "[ /img ]" (without the spaces) =D OT : I think they both have their merits, and I love them both. But my favourite Jokers will always be the ones from the late 1980's to early/mid 1990's comics. The Killing Joke, Dark Victory, The Dark Knight Returns and...

Poll: Why do you come to the escapist?

The first time I came to www.escapistmagazine.com was because someone told me I absolutely *had* to see ZeroPunctuation. These days my reason for visiting www.escapistmagazine.com is that I find the magazine a notch above any other gaming magazine I can buy at a newsstand, the writing is better...
