what do you want to see in elder scrolls V

    - Animations that DON'T suck (just tried Oblivion again today...dang) - A less irritating starting area (again, with Oblivion, I restarted the game recently, and to be honest I don't want to have to go through that 20 minute sewer again. I liked Morrowind; fast, a couple conversations to...

    Milo - Lionhead's new project

I couldn't see this do well as a game, but I could easily see this type of engine be implemented in any number of games. RPG's, shooters, simulations. Could you imagine Fallout 3 or Oblivion with every character reacting to your voice, body movements, and having conversations? It would add a...

what game do you most want a sequel for?

Roller Coaster Tycoon. I want one with the features of 3, and the not buggy-ness of 1.

With todays gaming technology, what older gaming series' would you like to see brought back?

I agree with Commander Keen, though i'd question the need. Still, awesome game. My vote is for Roller Coaster Tycoon. Give it some Flock-esque graphics that are kinda cartooney but really well done, put in a good physics engine, some new maps, sandbox mode, and you're done. Also, I know...

Strange habits you picked up because of videogames?

A couple of times i've thought that the world was rendered in pixels for about one second, then I remembered that of course it wasn't. Also, I air-guitar as if playing guitar hero now.

Poll: Tiny fonts in HD gaming

Wipeout HD had this problem. Thankfully there was an option to increase text size. Still, it's really annoying, and since a LOT of people still use standard TV's, dev's should include options for them.

what do you expect to see in gaming over the next 10 years.

Headsets. I still don't understand why we don't have those. We have sunglasses with screens; just add in a port for the audio/visual and it would work. That, plus upgrades in graphics, would make some really immersive stuff.

    Exclusive DLC just go away.

Personally, I don't like DLC. If you wanted to put something in the game, put it in the retail game. Don't take it out, then release it later for extra cash. Like, with Little Big Planet, they wanted to put in the ability to upload your own JPEG's into the game, but decided to cut it and...

    Favorite Gamepad/Controller

Love the Gamecube controller. Looked so strange, but the button layout was perfect, and the triggers were awesome. I also love the Wiimote. The pointer is great for shooting and selecting menu items, and though it's kind of gimmicky, using movements to control games is really fun, in my...

Slate diagnoses what's ailing the gaming industry

I think that episodic gaming will become more prevalent soon, as DLC becomes more commonplace. It offers a shorter, cheaper development cycle, and people will still buy it. Also, I think that games need to be priced lower. I mean, movies have a comparable budget to games, and they go for...

What are you looking forward to on the Wii in 09? (Besides the Conduit, Madworld, and Punch Out

    - Sin & Punishment 2 - Pikmin 3 - Wii Sports Resort - Murumasa: The Demon Blade - Monster Hunter 3 - Red Steel 2 - Let's Tap Also add the other games that i'm not allowed to post. I don't see how you can really complain about this.

    Stop or start the sequel

They are making that. They announced at E3 that there is a Pikmin game in the works for Wii, and that it's not that stupid New Play Control crap. Also, I agree with videot 76. SSX 3 is one of my favourite games ever, not just with racing, but overall. Unfortunately I played it so much that...

Why has no one done self conscious AI in games?

Well, there are several times in games where a character will be like "press X to swing your sword!", and that's sort of acknowledging that they're in a game. I remember on Gamespot they had a contest to see who could come up with the best game idea, and one of the runners up had an idea that...

Good games not getting the attention they deserve

I always liked Electroplankton for the DS, and thought that it really deserved a sequel. I think that it mainly got ignored because of so-so reviews. The criticisms reviewers made were mostly accurate, but it was still a much better game then people gave it credit for.

    The Turn Based Combat Thread

Paper Mario, for sure. I was never a big fan of turn based, but I really liked that one. It allowed me to strategize, while still having so more control over blocking and attack strength.
