2015: What games are you looking forward to?

I'm hoping that Azure Striker Gunvolt will finally be released on the European 3DS e-Shop next year.

Escape to the Movies: American Sniper - An Empty War Film

You can bet that the idea of terrorists hijacking several airliners and flying them into a skyscraper in broad daylight would've sounded far-fetched or ''super-villainy'' before the events of 9/11. Yet that happend in real freakin' life. If the film in question is explicitly marketed as...

Escape to the Movies: American Sniper - An Empty War Film

I haven't seen American Sniper myself yet, but the main thrust of Bob's complaint seems incredibly silly to me. How is it a bad thing that a movie which purports to be based on a true story actually sticks to the true story? I think that should be lauded, not criticized. Oh, and I hope Bob...

How many of us also play games that aren't based around killing and beating stuff up?

I'm all over the Ace Attorney games and none of the games in that series revolve around the lead killing bad guys or blowing stuff up.

The Downside of the "Marvel Effect"

I must say, this article is a pleasant surprise coming from Bob. I had him pegged as a brainless Marvel cheerleader but he proved me wrong here, props to him.

    How Stephen Colbert Saved America

Certainly, but my point was that this is, sadly, both nothing new and not exclusive to women on the political left. As I said: Sarah Palin got much the same treatment in spite of the fact that her political opponents often define themselves as ''feminists'', ''progressives'' or ''striving for...

    How Stephen Colbert Saved America

It's not irrelevant when it could easily be a (if not the) reason for why she backpedaled by claiming #CancelColber was meant to be satirical. If overzealous fans of a TV-personality were harrassing me for taking issue with something their idol said I could imagine myself resorting to it as...

    How Stephen Colbert Saved America

You are forgetting (or conveniently leaving out) the part where Park got a ton of harrassment on social media - misguided as her outrage may have been - to the point that Colbert himself had to talk about it on his show and tell the people doing it to knock it off.

    How Stephen Colbert Saved America

Indeed, and the mean-spirited pile-on that Suey Park received in the wake of it didn't help either. Just goes to show that the left also has its share of disrespectful jerks, contrary to what many lefties like to believe. On that note, I found Bob's attitude towards it tellingly callous.

What do you have against The Witcher series?

I like and have finished the first two games; but they weren't perfect. Both had really clunky menus and their fair share of glitches. The second game also had that dwarf city that was a chore to navigate.

8 Underrated Anime Series You Should Have Watched

I'm pretty into anime and have seen most of the series listed. Solid list though! I particularly like Birdy the Mighty Decode and Last Exile's first season - the 2nd was bad in my opinion. And since we're talking underrated anime, I can't pass up another opportunity to bring up Haibane...

South Park Parodies Let's Play and PewDiePie

Probably the hardest I've laughed at anything from South Park, then again I don't really follow the show. ''Cartmaaaaan-braaaah!''

    The Big Picture: Dinosaur Exodus

That strikes me as more than a little melodramatic, Bob. You're living in an age where your beloved superhero movies dominate the cinematic landscape (and mainstream cultural discourse), why play the victim just because some meanie film-snob makes the occasional dismissive remark about something...

    Poll: Do you LARP?

Wait just a minute. I'm guessing that what you refer to as a stigma is little more than people finding the idea of LARPing stupid and/or being dismissive of it. It might shock you that pretending to be a woodelf isn't everybody's idea of fun, it doesn't mean that the think less of you as a...

    Poll: Do you LARP?

Nope, and you'd have to either threaten to kill me (or one of my loved ones) OR pay me a considerable amount of money before I'd even consider it, same goes for tabletop roleplaying.
