She really needs to get out, it's good for you.
I was going... to go out today but I had this weird cough so I thought it was best to stay at home.
But that was just this one time thing...

.....

Man, looks like it's gonna rain tomorrow.

I have so many questions. Does Erin have a job? How does she get her food? Are bills good for growing bonsai trees?
Exactly. I've been quoted three times that she has her groceries delivered, but by the looks of things she hasn't opened her front door in a long, long time. Does she have it pushed through the mail slot in microwave dinner form?

Somehow I'm suspecting there's going to be a reference to "Welcome to the NHK" in the not too distant future.

This is going to be a great comic to read several posts of. Starting at #1 and the next thing you know 2 hours have past, y'know?

I'm wondering if we'll ever hear the sound of human life on the other side of the door.

"Here's your groceries m'am."

"Just leave it at the door..."

...

I should get out more. <.<

Maybe I missed something but is this in a separate continuity from Critical Miss? This Erin seems to be a regression from how she in in Critical Miss so I'm not sure if this a prequel or reimagining. Maybe it doesn't matter.

Yeah, it's separate continuity. Apparently Critical Miss Erin was intended to be more of a serious character eventually, but by the time they got comfortable enough to try something a bit more serious the strip was too well established as "quirky but sometimes a bit dark video game humor" and to suddenly take a hard left on "Feels Street" would been jarring and bad for the people who liked the comic as it was. So this is a version that's more follows the original intent.

They really should have just called this comic "Critical Miss: Brotherhood"; it would have cleared a lot of things up. I'd suggest "Rebuild of Erin: You Will [Not] Die Alone"... but then I think we already know the creators views on that show pretty well...

Wait, she's 23? Is this a prequel, then, because I assumed she was in her late twenties. It's an interesting concept.

It sucks being an aimless twenty-something. At least I occasionally clean out the mail and organs when I go outside at night.

Well she's having her hallucinations so I don't think it's a prequel.

I don't think that adds up chronologically then. I mean, it obviously isn't the same time frame as CM, but I'm not sure where it fits if it's not set years before hand.

Or maybe I'm thinking too hard about this.

I think we've found a plot hole, guys.
Oh, for pete's sake, we're only 2 pages in!
We can't trust Grey and Cory to do anything!

Just to show how far their art has come:

Also, as an aside, I find it pretty neat how even back when the art still needed improvement, it still had its bits of great quality. I can't stop staring at the shadows of the first panel.
