Well I guess that's just one more reason to stick to fighting AIs all day whenever I do play Overwatch. I have more fun doing that anyway since I don't need to care if my team is just a bunch of idiots or people screwing around and also don't need to worry about the enemy team being a group of unstoppable, coordinated juggernauts that I have no hope in hell of beating. Maybe if I had a group of people I could frequently play the game with that would change, but I don't see that happening any time soon so fuck if I care.

I thought I wanted this so bad.

But as a solo queue player....the game is the last fun it has been ever. The casual population has no been split between what, 6 playlists?

And with 1h qp its now been seen as actual practice for competitive. This has had the fallout of the game being a mix of the old QP vs large pre-made teams who are refining their tactics before competitive. I played QP because I usually play alone, and comp isn't fun alone. Now QP isn't fun alone, and the arcade modes are a mess of player division.
Yeah I've had literally zero of the experience you're talking about. Quickplay didn't suddenly become try-hard, and no limits queue times are fairly decent.
Since the update i am pretty much 95% playing "Mystery Heroes", which is a super-fun mode in my opinion. (Even though plenty of people doesn't seem to like it)

1. Ultimate-Counter gets reset at death: WAY less ultimates (And Ult-stacking) and every Ult-Push is rewarding.
2. Forces you to adapt and learn even heroes you don't usually play. (Apparently i can't kill with Sombra and Tracer also i seem to be totally AMAZING as Mercy... never knew that)
3. You can ALWAYS blame "the random hero selection" for ANYTHING. People are REALLY chillax.
4. Awesome incompetent battles. Man, i had so much fun having pretty much a melee-shootout as Widowmaker against a Hanzo, and we both couldn't aim for shit. He was spamming arrows and punching, i was spraying and praying in fullauto clip after clip, hoping to regain my venom-mine to throw it in his face. Hilarious matchups and weird plays enrich the game.
5. Multi-Hero stacking and wildly fluctuating compositions are REALLY fun. Rewards killing someone who is REALLY good with a char by punishing him to another role, turning the tide. Etc. Really dynamic.

So yeah, i had more fun. Didn't play ranked for weeks now (Usually i just play the placement matches and ~5 rounds or so and just go into quickplay (which in turn is way more relaxed and fun, when the "Champion-players" are off working in ranked.)
