oh god, I dread to think how much of my life i have spent playing games. Having done so for the last 16 years, its got to be somewhere between 1 & 2, or maybe more XD
The amount of time on KOTOR alone is insane

i have probably have a month at least on kotor 1/2 alone, and in my lifetime...1-2 years, in my early years i had energy beyond belief so i slept for 6-7 hours a day if that, so that left tons and tons of time for gaming outside of sports...but to add all that up 1-2 years is a rough estimate...it sounds pretty bad actually since thats roughly 6% of my life if i did the math right this late..

Assuming that I game for 16 hours a week, and I've been gaming regularly for the last 8 years, I'm gonna say 6656 hours.

EDIT: That's not counting portable gaming or all the times I played video games at friend's houses. or the times I'd skip school to play video games, so it's probably more like 7000 - 9000 hours...

A couple of weeks (I'm 22)? This is how I game: Mass Effect 2 being a case in point. I got the game, played it whenever I had free time until I beat it, and then went about my life. I might play a game hardcore until I beat it and then not play any more for months or years. Not that many interest me, and it's getting harder and harder to find time. Pretty soon I'm probably going to have to all but give it up when I start Med school.

I play everyday from around 6pm-3am...
63 hours a week, 3276 hours a year... 136.5 days.. 38% of a year.
That multiplied from since I was 10... 819 days...
So about 2 1/4 years of my life into playing video games...
God, I'm such a loser.

I spent zero hours from birth through age five.
Spent maybe an hour a week max from age five through age eleven.
Spent easily 40 hours a week from age eleven through nineteen.
Probably averaged around 25 hours from age 19-27.
20 hours from age 27-32 while I was married.
Past six months I've spent a lot more time gaming, closer to 35 hrs/week.

So...adding up those rough estimates...

0x260 + 1x312 + 40x416 + 25x416 + 20x260 + 35x26 = 33,462 hours (approx.)

Divided by 8765.81277 leaves 3.817 years, or approximately 3 years and 10 months spent gaming. 11.6% of my life, or 2.79 hours a day, every day.

In point of fact, that doesn't actually sound so bad. Wouldn't we all like to have almost 3 hours a day to do what we love most?

Well, according to my XFire I've played 1377 hours worth of games since I joined on the 18th of August, 2008. And I know XFire hasn't always been logged in when I've been playing, add all the time I've been playing on consoles, that probably brings it up to roughly 2000 hours since I joined Xfire, less than 2 years ago.

And I used to play games a lot more than I do now when I was younger. Started gaming when I was about three too. So yeah...
