Love the movie, chick flicks are great, but I'm a girl so I guess that is expected. However I think it's great that there are guys out there who will watch a movie that doesn't have anything blowing up in it :)
It was ok. It wasn't as good as Twilight./sarcasm. But I did like The Notebook (damn gf) and 13 going on 30.
Oh, The Notebook. Watched it when my friend's girlfriend came over unexpectedly. It was pretty enjoyable, but when I caught my friend crying, that made my day.

Both this movie, and Taming Of The Shrew piss me off no end. The latter especially. Could be my feminism in play but the theme of a guy manipulating and seducing a woman (whether he falls for her or not) rubs against my morals as much as when it's portrayed in reverse.

This is probably my least favorite movie. The only time I have ever felt suicidal was after watching this movie. That is not hyperbole. It's mind-numbingly shallow and stupid. Completely ignoring the misogynistic themes of this and Taming of the Shrew, watching the way the characters give up everything they believed in order to get an attractive date was like listing to the anti-life equation. Since the only character I remotely liked the "shrew" before she became "tamed".

Nope, its just who you are, if you like them thats no problem. They're not my thing personally but the fact you like them doesn't worry me in the slightest, nor do I think it's weird.

I like the movie Love Actually AND death metal, so you're not alone. I watched the part where the guy is at the door with cue cards with a girl that I was in a very similar situation with -- it was horrifying.
Oh that guy was a right bastard...

And there's nothing wrong with liking romantic comedies. If you don't like any, relationships will suffer.
Definitely Maybe ftw

My friend LOVES that film, swears by it. No-one wants to see it to annoy him, but is it worth it?

Yeah, same here. Apart from the death metal bit. I really want to see 10 Things now, and that's mainly because I was intrigued when my ex-girlfriend, who I'm still good friends with, was going to visit me at university. She said she'd bring the DVD (unfortunately she canceled at the last minute), so since then I've been desperately wanting to see that film...

EDIT: I also saw The Notebook. First, and so far only, time a film has ever made me come close to crying. Absolutely fucking amazing, it was :D

I love this movie. Seriously I watch it all the time, and I always get shit for being "MR. HEAVY METAL!!" but loving this romantic comedy. I also really like 50 First Dates, When Harry Met Sally, and really just most romantic comedies. Is that weird?
I'll be perfectly honest

If you're a Mr. Heavy Metal Dude.. it's a little weird.

but there's nothing wrong with being a little weird

When it comes to seemingly shallow American English Literature adaptations, I prefer Clueless. I went to go see the Boat That Rocked with my girlfriend. It was alright, I guess. Pretty easy watching. Fun times are had on boat, nice music is played, some mild peril, then they all get women. Ending scene dragged on a little long with no jokes and it being obvious what was going to happen. Also, maybe slightly light on the jokes. But easy watching.
