10 Years...

If you could, by means of Wizards and Science (or Wizards of Science), go back in time to your former self 10 years ago, yet still retain your knowledge and mind of now, would you?

You could correct all your mistakes of the past, set things right, predicte the future, make $$$. If I was to do it, I would be 8 years old, probably in grade 3. I could write poems and epic stories during class that would the teachers to awe. In drawing, while everyone else is going crazy with the cryaons, I could fuck with people's minds drawing all sort of screwed up pictures.

Although, this of course means you will have to relive everything again. I would have to wait another 8-10 years for the Escapist, at least a good 5-7 years for a good internet, relive all the games I've already beaten, rewatch all the latest movies and sit through all the trendy fads again.
Also, you would feel obliged to set things right in the world. Warn people of 9-11, earthquakes and the like. You would feel oblidged to act otherwise seem overly selfish.

So would you do it? If so what would you correct, do? And if not, why not?

I think I would. I mean I really could inrich my life once again. You would basically be the smartest, smoothest, coolest kid in school.
Plus during RE (religious Education) I would get in such a heated arguement with the teatchers, bring in historical facts, polotics, human psycology and the works to disprove their petty arguments and teachings to the children. Then I would try and pursuade them that I'm actually an angel trying to set things right on Earth. If they try and worship me, I'll call the police and have them sent to a nuthouse or jail. I'm that nice!

I know I would feel selfish, but if I can create proper movements and begin aknew in my childhood stages, more doors would become open to me later on to actually have a proper word in life.

In truth, going back and doing things again would be pretty awesome, there are plenty of minor incidents where I ended up embarassing myself, I would redo said situations.

Exactly! Only I didn't appreciate it at the time because I was ridiculously short for my age. I wanted to be level with all my friends and at the tender age of thirteen, I shot up. Now I'm taller than most of them, and I miss being short so damn much.

Wow thats a tough one.

On one hand the countless mistakes and screw-ups that make up the majority of my past could be fixed, but on the other hand, all the good things I've done will be erased for me to have to do all over again. Plus I'd feel really guilty if I didn't try to save everyone from every disaster that has occured in the past 10 years, so I'm going to have to say no. I'd go back one year ago, maybe two, but thats as far as I would go.

I've actually thought about this and my answer is: like a shot. How cool would it be to just regain ten of the most irresponsible years of my life, but with what I know now? Hell fucking cool. We only get perspective on our lives when it's too late to use that knowledge; going back in time would let me fix up a whole bunch of mistakes.
What would be cool is returning to my ten year old younger self as a mere voice in his head. Oh the fun I'd have at my own expense. First, I'd scare the shit out of me. Then I'd pretend to be my conscience. Then I'd corrupt me. Then I'd 'fess up and explain why I came back to me and take me under my wing as an Apprentice of Cool, teaching my padawan (me) to lighten up and Just Do It - because the only thing you really need to be popular in high school is the belief and confidence that you already are. Now I look back, I'm amazed how simple it all was.
PS: Oh, and I'd make sure to act like a drill seargent, barking commands at that lily-livered maggot.

I would probably miss the ability to drink as much as I can now if I went ten years back. I could still drink, but a drunken ten year old would probably get my parents in all kinds of trouble with social services and stuff.
