This is the British car of the three cars that are currently in competition to break the 1000mph land-speed barrier. The Australians are currently building the 'Aussie invader 5R', which they claim will be able to reach 1000mph in just 20 seconds. And the Americans are building the 'North American Eagle'. This is mostly a case of who can build the final model and attempt to break the land speed record first. However, even if one of the countries builds their car first and they break the land-speed record it doesn't mean that they will hold the record fro long. I think that the bloodhound team need to be most wary of the Aussie's, as they are boasting the possibility of what would be an excellent achievement of managing to reach 1000mph in a mere 20 seconds. One thing is for sure though. This is definitely a three-way battle.
